Walking into a busy cafe, I’m looked forward to a good experience with good food. When I ordered my sandwich, I had requested if they could cut the sandwich in half so it’s easier to eat on the go. They ‘can’t’ the staff said. They were kind enough to correct my order when I had I questioned further-I had ordered the wrong meal, so again, I asked if they could cut the one piece of bread for me but was directed to the utensil area so I could cut the bread myself. I see other meals that include a piece of toast, which was cut in half yet they couldn’t cut my bread in half – literally just the bread and they wouldn’t. Disappointed with the customer service.

Not sure if its just this Tatte location or if all Tattes have gone down in quality over the years?? I lived in Boston for a number of years but have since moved away. I went back to visit in Sept. 2025 and was thoroughly let down by the quality and taste of the baked goods. I used to love the kouign amanns but this one tasted a day or two old. The morning bun was much better.

I did not have food, but enjoyed my coffee, even though the delivery truck did not bring chocolate for me to have my standard mocha. The atmosphere is clean, bright and very fresh. There is a lot of space for eating, catching up on email, people watching, and enjoying the food and coffee. The extra foamy cappuccino was perfect and well balanced.

Tatte is exactly what I want in a cafe. I spent every day of my Boston visit here (fingers crossed they make it to Philly one day).

Every location has huge windows, comfy cushions, and a relaxed atmosphere. You are not rushed out and feel welcome to hang here for hours. (You order at the counter and the food is brought to your table.)

The menu has a large and diverse selection of items I have never had before and loved: a matcha bomb, white and peach iced tea, strawberry chamomile tea, broccolini/squash pita, chai latte – everything we had was delicious. I wanted to keep trying new things every day and always felt surprised and delighted.

A nice bakery with a good assortment of baked goods, even at the end of the day. The pastries weren’t too expensive and the cherry almond scone was tasty. There are a good number of tables both inside and outside and the atmosphere is very nice. The staff was friendly and service was quick.

I asked for the breakfast plate with over medium eggs and they said they were “out of the breakfast plate” and I’m like what of it are you out of because it’s only eggs, bacon, cheese and potato’s? And they’re like we’re out and wouldn’t explain and then I’m like okay can I just do eggs? And they’re like scrambled? And I’m like over medium and they’re like no, and I’m like (internally) how in the hell can you not just give me two over medium eggs and then basically tell me you can’t do anything when the breakfast sandwich my friend ordered is literally the same thing just stacked together with over medium eggs. How can you tell me you can’t do over medium eggs when the sandwich comes that way and then look at me like I’m an idiot, like be so for real, I’m fuming. All the while the line is out the door, Imagine being a breakfast place and you can’t serve just eggs?? or understand what I’m asking for when it’s not that complicated. The chicken soup is good tho.

Great place for breakfast/brunch. The food is good, the value is good and the staff is friendly. I recommend going there as it is very spacious, but there’s a limited amount of tables. It would great if there was an extra 1-2 tables.

Tatte Bakery & Cafe brings me back to Paris with items like Croque Madame and Salmon Tartar, fresh croissant, teas and artisan coffee. Dawn in subway tile and positioned adjacent to the Seaport in Boston. This place is relaxing and offers a delicious menu.

A very cozy place with incredibly delicious food!
I highly recommend trying their traditional shakshuka, the sandwich with avocado, salmon, and egg, the basil soup, and especially the pistachio latte. I’m not sure how they make it, but it seemed like there were crushed pistachios at the bottom – absolutely delightful.
I hope this place continues to bring joy to new visitors and maintains its excellent standards. Definitely worth a visit!

I love Tatte but this location is so consistently disappointing I just gotta say something. When I lived downtown, I visited Tatte almost daily. Ever since moving to Seaport, I will crave Tatte and my food is always sloppily put together, incorrect, and just somehow not the same quality. Many times I request no cheese (lactose intolerance) and sure enough I find out real fast that I had cheese and it has happened *multiple times*. This location has zero clue what a poached egg is, I always get something reminiscent of a hardboiled egg. Kinda hard to spread that… and don’t even get me started on how I just had to give up ordering drinks. I mean EVERY TIME I get a drink here, something is wrong.

Now those were all things that can be controlled for but I would like to add for anyone reading this as a patron, that the customers and atmosphere here is horrendous. Compared to other locations I’ve visited this place always seems to be crawling the most lack of self aware pea brained customers who just stand wherever, bump into you, will leave items like strolers and their trash all over the place. I don’t know what that is about but this is an issue *so often* compared to rush in the downtown location everything is efficient and people aren’t so downright either rude or unaware that they exist. Maybe its the convention center or just the entitlement that comes with being in more “paumpus” neighborhood because of all the trendy instagram and tiktok spots buy MY GOD.

Anyways – I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but this specific location has let me down so many times despite trying over and over and over again at different hours on different days during different seasons…. but for 2 years I’ve lost access to one of my fave spots I used to love so much and I’m just so sad about it. I will continue to enjoy Tatte, but just not here.
