Maki. Sashimi. Rolls. Gyoza. Cocktails. All were superb
Parking can be a little tough due to location but overall it’s acceptable.
A special thank you to our waitress Angelina — her service was absolutely outstanding. She was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and made us feel truly taken care of from start to finish. Angelina’s positive energy and professionalism really elevated our entire dining experience.
Blufish is the perfect place for a great meal and exceptional service. We will definitely be coming back and asking for Angelina again. Highly recommend!
We love sushi, and we were pleasantly surprised with the freshness and quality of the fish. The ambiance is great as well. The music is good and the booths are comfortable and private.
We decided to do the same for my spouse’s birthday last night, December 13, 2025 at 6:00.
We reordered the delicious sushi boat for 2, their house saketini and a Japanese beer. I tried a shrimp robata skewer as an appetizer, and he had some veggies tempura. Both were excellent.
Once again, food was ample and delicious, and the service was friendly, but stretched a little thin. It seemed the bus persons were fewer last evening.
However, the experience with the host staff made a special evening a bit unsavory. Like last time, I had reservations. We asked for a booth when they sat us at a small table at the window. They moved us to a larger table closer to the door where it was cold and drafty this frigid evening. They told us they held the booths for larger parties with reservations. I counted the 5 empty booths when we were finally seated. As we left, I looked over the booths reserved for larger parties, and all 7 or so of them had only two people. I felt like we were treated differently based on age or maybe because we were a gay couple. My husband mentioned to them on the way out how much we like the food and the ambiance, but how the seating policy made us feel like second class customers. He got no understanding, just a bunch of excuses about some vague policy that evidently lets the persnickety hostesses seat anybody anywhere they want.
It’s a shame. I’d like to go back, but but with that kind of door treatment, we’ll seek out a more accommodating sushi restaurant next time.
The crispy rice with spicy tuna was probably my favorite — crispy, spicy, and perfect. The asparagus wrapped in beef was so flavorful, and even the edamame was super fresh and addictive.
I got the Dirty Old Man and Crazy Dragon rolls — both had amazing texture (I love a good crunch) and hit every note. And the lychee martini was dangerously good.
The whole experience both nights was amazing — great flavors, great vibes, everything came out fresh and fast. Adding pics too because words aren’t enough.
