For the vegans out there — this was such a wonderful experience. They created a full five-course meal for me in the private dining room with a completely customized menu.

The lettuce wraps were thoughtfully modified without the honey-based sauce, and the salad was prepared without cheese, pecans, or honey dressing — instead, I enjoyed it with olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette. The cauliflower steak was perfectly done and paired beautifully with a side of spinach. And to finish, they served vegan gelato in two delicious flavors: vanilla and chocolate.

The sales and events manager and our server were both incredibly kind and attentive, and the chef truly went above and beyond to accommodate everything. It was so good, this could easily be a standard part of their menu.

Dennis is a fanTASTIC bartender and server. My wife said the ribeye was likely the best steak she ever has eaten. And the carrot cake is without a doubt the best we have ever enjoyed. Friday – Monday enjoy the bar and Dennis’ service. We will return here often !!

Celebrating Our 10-Year Anniversary at Truluck’s Southlake
My wife and I recently celebrated our ten-year anniversary at Truluck’s Southlake, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a thoughtful handwritten card and rose petals adorning our table—a beautiful gesture that set the tone for the evening.
We opted for the Tru 92 menu, as it had been several years since our last visit. For starters, we enjoyed the Prime Meatballs and Little Gem Caesar. The meatballs were outstanding—rich, flavorful, and perfectly crisp on the bottom. We also added the Crab Cake, which was smooth, packed with crab meat, and absolutely delicious.
For entrées, I chose the Jalapeño Salmon, and my wife selected the 8 oz Filet. The salmon was cooked to perfection, with such incredible flavor that I didn’t want to overshadow it by sipping my wine. My wife’s steak, while not quite medium rare as requested, was still tender and full of flavor, and she enjoyed every bite.
Although we were too full to enjoy dessert at the table, the team thoughtfully packed everything to-go, complete with all the extras clearly labeled. To our surprise, we were also gifted a Baked Alaska with “Happy Anniversary” written across the top—a beautiful gesture. We sampled a few bites, and it was delightful, especially the toasted marshmallow topping.
Special thanks to Jeffrey, who checked in with us throughout the evening, and to Marissa, who truly made our night unforgettable. Her warmth, attention to detail, and guidance in selecting each course made us feel like we had gained a new friend.
We left feeling like royalty—grateful for the exceptional service, exquisite food, and thoughtful touches that made our celebration so memorable. Thank you, Truluck’s Southlake, for hosting our special night.

I want to give a HUGE SHOUT OUT to Kenneth R. Alford & The AMAZING Staff at TRULUCK’S Southlake Location! I planned my entire wedding proposal at their restaurant and Kenneth was nothing but phenomenal to deal with. Everything went as planned and actually performed at greater heights. My bride was super happy and was able to live out her dream experience. This will be remembered for the rest of our lives. The food was out of this world and our VIP waiter – PARKER was second to none with his manners and educational background. I am still dreaming about my steak ribeye and the taste and deliciousness – medium rare. The desserts and everyone’s meals were cooked to perfection. The setting was romantic and they had an anniversary card and decorations for us at the table. My wife felt so SPECIAL and this is exactly what I wanted. This is one of our favorite restaurants and we will continue to support and send all of our family & friends there. TRULUCKS SOUTHLAKE – Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making our field of dreams come true! We had a professional photographer there and cannot wait to see the final pictures and videos. We went to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and they definitely made it special. We were greeted and shown to our reserved table where fresh flowers and a birthday card awaited us. We were greeted first by the manager and then our server Michael. He went over the days specials, offered filtered water and took our orders shortly after. Once dinner was ordered, we then decided on a wine pairing. Michael offered a small tasting of a couple reds and soon returned with our beverages, a nice Zinfandel and the Bon-Ton Martini(highly recommend). The calamari appetizer arrived fresh, crispy and so deliciously tender. Soon after, the main courses were served – Redfish Ponchatrain and King Oro Salmon with an extra side of the most delectable creamed spinach! The redfish dish was covered in a creamy sauce laden with shrimp, crawfish and peppers, I believe; it was good and a bit spicy. However, the rice it was served over seemed dry and chewy. The King Oro Salmon was cooked perfectly; it was tender, moist and melted in your mouth. I don’t know why but we were expecting more seasoning on it… Anyway, the star of the show in my mind was the creamy buttery spinach with a parmesan type cheese mixed in, Fantastic!! Once all the dinner plates were cleared, Michael offered us a coffee and advised he had a surprise for my husband. The perfect little cup of espresso balanced the sweet surprise that showed up when Michael brought out a ‘Happy Birthday’ plate with a small cylindrical cake. He presented the Baked Alaska, poured the 151 rum over top and then lit on fire – awesome! He sliced the cake and served us both. We soo enjoyed this evening celebrating my husband with a near perfect dinner and absolutely impeccable service. I highly recommend treating yourself to a great dinner and experience!

I have travelled all over the world, traveled to many countries on all five continents from Bali Indonesia to middle east to europe to africa and to americas – and i can assure you that Truluck’s in South Lake is one of the finest experiences so far. Since I love seafood, in particular grilled salmon and lobster bisque are my favorites at restaurants, I was looking for a good sea food spot in South Lake. I decided to visit Truluck’s for Lunch and was pleasantly surprised by their exceptional service and premium food quality. I ordered Ora King Salmon with lobster bisque soup for main course and calamari for appetizers. The food was 100% delicious and freshly made.

If you are in a mood for top quality sea food in South Lake with upscale ambience, Truluck’s should be your first choice. I am pkanning to visit Truluck’s again tomorrow for lunch.

We had the BEST time ever!!! Our server Courtney was so professional, and guided us through the entire experience. From the wine, live music, phenomenal sides, buttery smooth steak, large portions, and wonderful birthday dessert, Trulucks made my birthday so AMAZING. My wife and I went to Truluck’s for our 27th anniversary. On the reservations they ask if any special occasion is being celebrated, so I did mention that. We were quickly seated at our time, and we were met with a table with roses in a vase and petals surrounding the vase, and also a happy anniversary card. Our server, German, greeted us shortly and went over everything. We got appetizers and meals, which were both very good (King Salmon and Shrimp & Scallop Saute). Once we were done eating, German brought out a Baked Alaska for an anniversary treat. It was amazing! Overall an amazing experience.
