This is the worst takeout experience I have ever had in my entire life. No, I am not being dramatic- please see photos for proof. I ordered two mushroom tacos with lime, guacamole, pico de gallo, and toreado chile. When opened, it was mushrooms slapped in a flour tortilla with nothing else. My husband ordered the asada “skillet” and was missing lime, onion, green chile, red chile, AND guacamole. It was just meat and tortilla. The last, perhaps most offensive thing we received was the “fish taco.” One disgusting piece of fish in a flour tortilla, missing all the ingredients I added: lime, pico de gallo, and cilantro. All of this order looked and tasted terrible and I would highly recommend NO ONE eat at this establishment. I am floored at the positive reviews. Disappointed is an understatement- you could not pay me to go back.

10/10 for the best authentic Mexican food in Albuquerque. This is my favorite restaurant to eat at every time I visit New Mexico. The food always tastes amazing and fresh. You can’t get this quality of food at many places and they just hit a home run every time.
They have the best homemade flour & corn tortillas and we always buy extra to take home. The salsa bar has several options for adding to your meal & the guacamole salsa is my absolute favorite.
The staff are so kind and friendly and make you feel like family every visit!

I purchased a family meal to bring back to Germany with me and froze it before flying back home. My family was so excited to be able to eat taco tote in Germany after many years of missing the food.

I love this place, it’s one of my top 10 in town. Large open dining area with counter ordering, and an open kitchen you can see right into. Also one of the best salsa bars in town (maybe THE best).

I usually get one of the skillets, which is meat over in tortillas, some fried onions, and a baked potato. It’s a tidy simple plate and it’s perfect for pairing with a bunch of salsas and fixings from the bar and a cold beer or soda.

Some of the reviews below look like they may have tried to get too particular with customizing and stuff. My advice: keep it simple. Get a skillet or some tacos, some queso if you’re feeling frisky, and enjoy a solid, tasty Mexican plate in a fun open atmosphere.

Taco Tote never disappoints. I ordered their taco Al Pastor tacos. Their topping bar was very clean and maintained. All of their sauces are very flavorful. The Al Pastor taco was cooked perfectly.

Definitely will be back to try other items on the menu.

We visited and ate at this place yesterday for dinner. I can honestly say the ones in El Paso, TX are way better than this location. Food was lukewarm and the service was mediocre. Prices are about the same, but food is way better in EP. Will definitely be visiting some local dives here in Querque like Lindo Mexico which never disappoints.

The place has plenty of sitting, great customer service, usually no wait to order. Food is ready in no time and they take it to your table.

Wide range of drinks, and the salsa bar. Food is great.

I have only notice that the avocado salsa is now more watery no longer creamer for chips.

OMG! The Sirloin tacos are amazing, very similar to the ones I eat in Sinaloa Mexico.
