Unassuming Japanese eatery with sushi & a selection of hot entrees like hibachi meats & teriyaki.

The people who work here are absolutely precious. They are so witty and kind it is an experience in and of itself! The food melts in your mouth and is soooo flippin good. I will be back. Lunch prices on a Saturday were very reasonable. We spent $35 on 2 people.

Is it just me or are those chunks of carrot in the bento box freakishly large? Even our waiter laughed at it. They had to bring us a steak knife. This was right after they gave us a plastic spoon to use with the rice because they don’t have any spoons. Overall, it’s fine if you want American-Japanese hibachi. We were on the restaurant side and there for the food, not the show. It sounded like people weren’t enjoying the show so, if that’s your thing, it’s probably a good place to go. If you’re more food focused, don’t set your expectations too high.

We had never been to Sake, and we decided celebrate our mom’s 100th Birthday there. I made a reservation for 13, including the centurion birthday gal. They seated us immediately, and the fun began. Everything was fun, festive and delicious. She enjoyed King Salmon, some guest had sushi, and they brought her a slice of cheesecake for birthday! The staff was perfection, and they treated the birthday gal so special. We had absolutely a wonderful evening! Thank you!

I opted for dinner to be made in front of me vs ordering other menu options. Both cook and server were friendly and attentive. The cook did an excellent job on my chicken and fried rice and was very entertaining through the whole process. $25-35 per person plus tip seemed to be mid range to dine there.

This was my first time dining in a hibachi style restaurant and I was so excited about going but I turned out to be sadly disappointed. I wasn’t aware that there was some special order of seating. Whenever I dine out of I’m not satisfied with my seat I get moved. I was seated off on the corner of the table but I wanted to be seated in the center of the table. Directly in front of the chef, so that I can see everything. Apparently they don’t like people doing that at this place. That was the initial problem. As other dinner guest arrived they were seated around me and my sister. The chef proceeded to prepare our food. When he started to serve us instead of him going around the table in order he zigzagged the table serving dinner guest all out of wack like 1,2,5,6,3,4. We were seated in seats 3 & 4 so just imagine our amazement when the chef started plating our meals out of sequence. Couldn’t figure it out until when he finished we noticed that he, the chef, had served us basically scrapes. The other dinner guests had a overwhelming portion of food on thier plates and me and my sister had been deliberately slightled. When we tried to inquire about our service they acted as if they were confused. Right. But weren’t too confused to come directly to us to ask if we were ready to settle the bill. Didn’t ask any one else. The other dinner guest were actually ready to settle their bills and were staring directly at the host but he couldn’t get out of me and my sister’s personal space. We settled our bill and left without incident. I was highly disappointed in my service here. Never again!! I will never dine there ever again. NOPE!!!

I had a great overall experience at Sake Japanese House & Sushi Bar. I went for the hibachi, and it didn’t disappoint. The chef was entertaining and skilled, making the meal as fun as it was delicious. It’s always enjoyable when the cooking is part of the show, and they did a great job creating a lively, engaging atmosphere.
The food was flavorful and well-cooked — everything from the steak and shrimp to the fried rice and vegetables was fresh and satisfying. Portion sizes were generous, and everything was served hot and right off the grill.
The staff was friendly and attentive, and the service was smooth from start to finish. I’d definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a fun hibachi night out with good food and good vibes.
Looking forward to coming back!

I recently enjoyed a wonderful hibachi dinner at Sake Japanese Steakhouse. We started with two fresh and flavorful sushi rolls, Dynamite & Bonzsi. The hibachi chef was both skilled and entertaining, making the meal interactive and fun
For the main dish, we had stir-fried vegetables, rice, and a delicious assortment of steak, lobster, shrimp, and chicken—all cooked to perfection. The service was excellent, and the staff was attentive throughout the meal
Overall, Sake Japanese Steakhouse offers great food and a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend it and look forward to returning!

I recently visited Sake Miller in Dayton, and it was honestly one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. The food was horrible, and the service was just as bad. It felt like the focus was more on getting customers in and out rather than providing quality food or good customer service.
The host was very aggressive and unwelcoming, which made the situation even worse. Overall, it was extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend this restaurant based on my experience. I only gave it one star because it would not let me post.

Always a great experience! Whether a celebration meal, date night, quick lunch, or introducing someone to a hibachi experience for their first time. Not only do my children love it, but I had even taken my grandma in her late it’s (suitable for all ages). Fairly accommodating for finicky eaters. Even when packed, never a long wait. Generous portions.

The food was terrific once we were able to get seated. We were supposed to have reservations. The tables were full instead. Make sure you go in plenty of time. They did get us all in and made it right. But it was extremely frustrating to almost be late and not be able to enjoy or dinner to the fullest.
