The raspberry donut was a pleasant surprise. Soft, fresh, and not overly sweet. The raspberry filling tasted real, slightly tart, and balanced the sugar well. It did not feel heavy or artificial like many filled donuts do. You could easily eat more than one without feeling overwhelmed.
Looking at the pastry case, everything is very well presented. From the savory items like spinach feta and leek parmesan pastries to the desserts and cakes, it is clear they put effort into both quality and appearance. This is the kind of place where you want to come back and slowly try different things each visit.
Service was smooth and efficient, and the space is clean and modern. It does get busy, which is always a good sign.
Overall, Satura Cakes lives up to its reputation.
Not as renowned for their bread and pastry but I’ve always loved their line up of brioches
However, the service needs improvement. The woman who took my order wasn’t very welcoming, and the cashier was eating taco behind the counter while helping me, which felt unprofessional. The dish rack for dirty plates was also full.
The bakery has great products, but better customer service and cleanliness would really improve the overall experience.
The shop itself has a cozy, inviting vibe, and the staff is always friendly and helpful when it comes to recommending new things to try. You can tell everything is made with care and high-quality ingredients.
It’s the perfect spot whether you’re grabbing something to enjoy with coffee, bringing home a cake for a celebration, or just treating yourself. Definitely one of my favorite patisseries in the area!
One thing to note is that the prices are a little high, $10 for a small cake slice does seem like a lot so this will definitely be an infrequent treat for me
The cake is always fluffier than western cakes and not overly sweet.
Their pastries are delicious also but I recommend trying their cakes
I got the earl grey cake 4”x8” for $61. It was not the largest cake for the price but it was rich and thick with flavour and dense texture.
Appearance: 10/10, taste: 10/10
I really appreciated the daisy flowers, light pinkish/white pearls, and dewdrops details for the decoration on the cake. The sunset rose / dusty rose pink colour was gorgeous, this cake definitely stood out the most in terms of appearance out of all the cakes in the shop.
Service was okay, make sure you ask for a candle, paper plates, and utensils.
The earl grey cake has a cookie crust based with layers of early grey ganache, soft biscuit sponge, and earl grey cream. I reallyyyy liked the cookie crust ! I could keep eating that forever. The birthday girl really enjoyed the the soft, pudding-like earl grey ganache.
I would definitely love to eat this cake again! Love, love it!!!
