I stopped here for lunch before taking my son and his roommate home for Christmas break. The service was slow, and they put mushrooms on my first pizza despite my request not to do so because of my allergy. The waiter did realize the mistake and apologized before bringing me a second correct order, but there was no credit or discount applied to my bill. It was finals week; business was slow, but it still took close to 45 minutes from order to my first pizza. The second took another 25 minutes! While service was slow, my pizza was very tasty! I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak pie, and it was a solid choice. They used Cooper Sharp which is the modern standard for cheese on a Philly steak. The tomatoes were an odd touch since no one puts tomatoes on a steak in Philly, but they did add a tangy, sweet brightness to the pie. The dough could have been cooked a bit longer with some char to lend some smokiness to the flavor profile, but this was a delicious pizza that I’d order again. The location is central and the facilities are clean and contemporary. The prices are a bit high for the quality offered, but you are paying “college town” inflated prices pretty much anywhere in State College. While the views are nothing special, it is nice to have an elevated view of downtown with lots of bright, natural light.

So I’ve eaten here several times when visiting my son at PSU. It has always been adequate. This means that you get food that is edible for a reasonable price. A place to go in a pinch. I get it, this is elevated Applebees. Not any more. You are better off at Applebees or Texas Roadhouse. At least there corporate has control. This place stinks. We got food poisoning and I will spare you the details. Just save yourself and go elsewhere. The food stinks. I said it twice.

I will say that the wait staff is nice and deserve much better.

They do serve “creamery” ice cream and that was good.

Just go anywhere else.
Peace and Love.

Espresso martini but with only half martini lol. Never have i seen this in my life. Three of us got the same exact looking martinis half full. Plus the hummus is guacamole and didn’t mention that on menu.

The host who greeted and seated us was very nice. Our waitress never smiled or looked at us, she just look at her pad and wrote down our order. She didn’t even say thank you when she put the final bill on the table, we tipped her good because we felt sorry for her. The manager was walking through the restaurant at times, but didn’t engage with any of the tables.
The lemon-chive chicken ($25) was overcooked and so dry. The vegetables and the potatoes were perfectly cooked. Ordered a side of fries, they were served with way too little sauce. This was stated in previous reviews. My martini had floating ice chips on top. The burgers were good, but not exceptional. It was a Saturday night and in this large restaurant only four tables were taken counting us. Yikes. There are so many better options, obviously that’s why so many tables were open.

Busy spot with tons of beer on tap. It was a 2 hour wait but we found a spot to eat at the bar. Had the steak which was good but not great. Overall a good meal though.

Stay away unless you want to be ripped off by Connie the manager. We ordered happy hour pizzas and we’re charged $16.50 when there are on the menu for $6.00. New server input the order incorrectly. Connie chose to throw our very good but inexperienced server under the bus and refused to even speak to us. Never again will I be back, shame on you.

Cheese Pizza is only on the Happy Hour menu BTW.

UPDATE- 5 Months later and not a single manager or owner has responded… Guess they are good with me telling everyone I know to stay away from this unethical establishment.

Great place for Beers and other drinks, with a solid menu of options. Above the target shop, it is a spacious , open format and seems to always be busy. I found the prices to be very reasonable and quality of food really good. We got the Grain Bowl with Salmon and the Lemon chive chicle. The old fashioned with bullet Rye was perfect.

We came here on a whim as we were looking for a place that was still open and didn’t have a long wait. Despite the crowd, the staff were courteous and friendly. Our table was ready in less time than originally quoted. Naturally, not all of us were ready to order our drinks right away, so our server took the order from those who were ready and came back to pick up the stragglers. Drink delivery time was ok, probably about average with other places we’ve been to. Food was good. Tasty and served at a proper temperature. The fish was cooked perfectly. Wait times were a bit long, but not objectionable. It was a crowded night, and we were in no rush.

Great location, large restaurant with plenty of seating options. They have a great selection of draft beers. Fish tacos were good, nice size portion and fish was tasty. The chicken sandwich and burger were very disappointing. Even ordered medium rare for the burger but it was overcooked and well done. Unlike most restaurants they don’t advertise the weight of the burger and it was obvious why. For $18 it was about 1/4 # patty in a big bun. The hot honey chicken sandwich also had a very small piece of chicken for the price. Overall disappointed with this visit and don’t plan to return.

Nice spot for beers and a good, quality meal in State College! Don’t let the fact that it’s above a Target give you the wrong impression. This is a real nice spot for dining, with great menu options, a spectacular beer selection, and very nice service. If you’re a traditional beer fan or a craft beer fan looking for good IPA’s, NEIPA’s, or stouts, this place has you covered.

Nice pub grub options were available, including apps, burgers, sandwiches and pizzas. They also had salads for those looking for healthier options. They also list vegan, vegetarian and gluten free items on the menu.

We visited during spring break, so crowds were light. But we’ll be back.
