Eating out is expensive these days. Habit Burger lessens the sting of high prices with their $6-$10 “Gotta Habit Meal Deals”. (See pics below)
I had their $8 meal with came with a 1/2 chicken club, a side (like tempura green beans) and a large drink.
My wife got the $10 meal which came with 1/2 Santa Barbara Char, a side (like a salad), chicken nuggets and a drink.
These meals were delicious, filling and reasonably priced. The staff were nice and the tables were clean. Don’t forget to get peppers by the drinks!

I cama to the fairlawn location on 8/17/25 @ 630pm. I’m really pleased to see such clean, friendly, and well manged store. The entire staff including the manger are all relaxed composed and working extremely well together. I made a mistake on my order and the manager on duty helped with such ease and professionalism that I was taken back by the entire experience here. This fairlawn location deserves recognition for such a well maintained store kudos

Uber eats tried to blame them for canceling an order but in reality it was only the fact that the internet went down. Came by to talk to a manager(Ashley) and they were more than welcoming as well as The cashier (Vera) who helped us whom was very very kind. This location is big on making sure their customers are taken care of. 10/10 across the board. Made my night better than expected.

I love a good chain burger, and I’ve never failed to leave impressed by my meals at Habit Burger. During this last visit, I gave the Charburger a try, and it’s everything you would want from a good burger. If something has the word ‘char’ in the name, I need to taste some smoke and crisp, and this burger certainly that in spades. Think backyard barbecue grill, complete with grill marks. This was also a neater sandwich than I’ve gotten from most chain restaurants, with the actual burger closely matching what you see in pictures. If I had any complaints, it would be that it was on the smaller side. After we finished our meals, my husband and I seriously contemplated getting extra burgers because we still felt hungry. Fries are also decent – hot, well-seasoned, and fried to a good crisp.
Ordering is also a cinch. If you’re paying by card, there are several kiosks near the entryway so you can place your entire order through a screen. Alternatively, customers with cash (or those just wanting to interact with a human being) can place orders with a person at the counter. Either way, you’re given a buzzing pager to let you know when your order’s ready for pickup. Easy peasy.
This location is inside a complex with quite a few other dining options, so parking is technically plentiful but I’ve noticed things can get a little tight during mealtimes.

The Habit Burger is a burger chain on the west coast which has made its way to NJ. The Fair Lawn location is excellent. The prices are average and the burger is very good. And the fries were excellent. In my opinion if a fry does not need ketchup it is a great fry and these did not need ketchup. And there hibiscus is also very good. I would highly recommend The Habit Burger

Stopped in graded a Burger Fries and a Coke. And I enjoyed my lunch. Food was Hot and Tasty. Drink was Serve yourself Fountain drink. So just like I like it. Next visit I will ask for more grilled onions but other than that an above average Burger joint. Worth the visit. I have been watching my sugar but about half the other folks I saw order had a Shake.

I am a big fan of Habit Burger, they have a very simple menu and few side orders and that’s all you want! The burgers are always juicy and delicious and the French fries are coated and absolutely delicious! The service is very fast and food always comes out fresh! My only advice is to put someone who knows how to take the order on the register so less mistakes are much faster ordering! They have veggie burgers also and they are absolutely amazing! Thanks

So I was first turned on to The Habit in its original hometown of Santa Barbara CA by my step father Sean Kelly who grew up there. I love this place and was excited many years ago to see that there was a location in Fair Lawn on my way home from work. I eat here often and have yet to be disappointed. My only gripe is with humanity that would chose to order through a kiosk and not to have a one on one human interaction with one of their extremely polite, efficient, and helpful staff. Skip the Kiosk!!! Talk to the staff. Make eye contact and say please and thank you! You will not be disappointed!! Love this place and I love the staff. Always friendly and helpful.
