Come in and try the freshest seafood around! In town on business, we took a lunch break and we’re fortunate to find Captain Jim’s Seafood. This place doubles as seafood market and restaurant. We witnessed some amazing looking stone crab claws…fresh! We were greeted by Jodie, our server, and she took wonderful care of us. From the grouper soup to my grilled shrimp salad down to the red beans and rice…simply delicious! Come in and give them a try!

The food is delicious!!!! OMG! The yellow tail snapper in the Captain’s Tail Sandwich is freaking amazing! The fish is so soft and the flavors blend beautifully.
The shrimp tacos are so juicy and soft, but the slaw adds the perfect crunch to it! I sprinkled a bit of salt and lime over each one and it was just perfection!

it’s a hidden gem. the restaurant side is quite clean even its right next to the small seafood market. lobster Mac and cheese croquette was creamier than I expected and perfectly crispy, though its hard to find the existence of lobster. shrimp and grit was delicious with strong butter and shell fish flavor. grit was slightly undercooked but it went well with the sauce. snapper sandwich was fresh but not impressive. fries was boring. Caribbean fish soup had strong fish taste in a good way.

Found this gem searching for a place that serves fried couch, and it didn’t disappoint. The food was fresh, seasoned and fried exactly how you would expect seafood to be prepared. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the restaurant was a simply clean layout. I plan on coming back to try the stone crabs and lobster, and the happy hour is something I definitely want to take advantage of.

Absolutely loved our visit to Captain Jim’s Seafood! The food was delicious and such a great value for the price. We especially couldn’t get enough of the oysters and the fried lobster, both were perfectly prepared and packed with flavor.
Service was top-notch. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. The vibe here is super chill, making it a great spot to unwind and enjoy a satisfying meal without any frills.
Highly recommend if you’re looking for fresh seafood, great prices, and a relaxed atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

If you happen to be in the area and have Seafood cravings this is the place to come. Fresh Lobster and Stone Crabs perfectly prepared and served. Service is friendly and attentive. Highly recommended!

Absolutely loved it!! The cracked conch was perfectly made. The hush puppies were exquisite with a mild sweet flavor to them and the Flan was the best Flan I’ve had in a really long time. Looking forward to coming back really soon. This time I’m bringing all of my friends and family. Prices are appropriate for great fresh of the day clean and very well made sea food and accompanying dishes. The services was also quick and on point. The servers were very cordial and knowledgeable. My glass remained full at all times too.
By the way the place looks fantastic! They did a really nice job giving it a very cool, clean, fresh Marine feel to the place. Nice job. I really like this place and I strongly recommend everyone to stop by with friends and loved ones for one of the cleanest freshest seafood places I’ve ever been to in South Florida. You will enjoy.

The captains combo was pretty overpriced for the portion size.
All of their food is amazing though. The guava cake, grits, and fried lobster were so good i had to order more to go. The lady at the front was super nice and helpful also.

I came here because of it being on the Bourdain show. I had the clam chowder and the fish burger. The chowder was good. The fries weren’t great and the burger was mostly bread. I really didn’t see the hype.
The grossest part was while waiting for the bathroom there was a dying cockroach right next to the kitchen. I even pointed it out to the worker who exited the bathroom.
What’s worse was when I went into the bathroom the toilet had poop and blood on it. When I left the cockroach was still there!!
Maybe it’s good food I just didn’t experience it.
The waitress was nice though.

Celebrated a birthday here. Parked by this somewhat sketchy alley, but who cares? Place isn’t elegant, it’s kind of spare with an interesting interior. The food! Great stuff. Ate oysters on the half-shell, loved the shrimp and grits. Good service, our waiter brought everything out as it was finished by the chef instead of a giant tray of semi-hot food. Everyone enjoyed their food, ranging from lobster to fish sandwich. Some guy came up to our table and gave my granddaughter a $20.00 birthday gift! AMAZING! Are we coming back? You betcha!

Every year I look forward to stone crab season. This year I went back to Captain Jim’s to check out theirs. PERFECT! I only order the medium-sized claws, believing they are the sweetest and most tender. They were everything I want in one of the greatest gifts the sea can give me. Took a chance on the conch chowder that was rich, flavorful, loaded with delicious conch and had a good balance between spice and heat. Loved that meal! Going once more time before stone crab ends. Prices are high but what can you do when the market prices are high?
