Seafood fried or boiled is the main event at this casual family-run restaurant alongside a highway.

My husband and I had dinner at Perrino’s on Thursday. The wait was minimal. Crawfish were very affordable (around $6 a pound), and I’d rate them a 6/10—good quality, just needed more seasoning. Chargrilled oysters were about the same—6/10. What stood out was the Gator Tea cocktail—strong, delicious, and a good value. My husband enjoyed his crawfish and IPA. The service was fine despite them being busy. I’d return, especially for the drinks and budget-friendly crawfish as the season improves!

Okay so we pulled into an Empty parking lot and was a little unsure if we should stay or go but once we got inside, the ladies were friendly and happy to see us so we decided to stay and try them out. We were referred here for blue crabs and they were delicious… and we love blue crabs. We got half a dozen with a lbs of shrimp, potatoes a corn and sausage. Our waitress was Jules and she was super sweet and helpful! I love the Louisiana accent and she has one for sure I got a sweet tea and baby! That was a Sweet Tea! I enjoyed that to the max considering I had a sweet tea that was Not yesterday from the city.
We thoroughly enjoyed our crabs and they were seasoned really good. It gave a kick but not too bad that I couldnt enjoy the taste. Oh the garlic butter was very different from what we’re used to but it was very delicious. I made sure to get more to eat with the leftover shrimp we had.
For sure, if you’re in the area, do stop by. Even if the parking lot looks empty, you’ll enjoy the meal.

It was a Friday and I was craving charbroiled oysters all day. I couldn’t wait to get off. I asked my wife if she wanted to go out to dinner and she agreed . When the waitress approached the table, I asked her if they were shocking fresh oysters and would they be the ones that they charbroil? She said yes, sir they are. I replied to her. I’ll have a dozen and whatever my wife would like. I asked if they were fresh oysters because I know a lot of restaurants do not use fresh shucked oysters to charbroil. once I received my dish, it looked amazing, but I was not surprised. It was exactly as I thought the oysters that were in the shells did not come from the shells. These are the oysters that they purchase from a distributor and used to Fry….. never again!!!!!!!!!!! I live local and try to support local restaurants. I know times are tough, but I don’t like being lied to. look at the pictures and judge for yourself. The eye of the oyster is the same size as the oyster and as any one from the south knows that this oyster did not come from this shell. It wasn’t just this one they were all the same.

We visited during the Sunday before Mardi Gras … and it was packed … around 7:00 pm. Very crowded seating inside and a little outdated interior.
As the name implies, they are serving seafood here. The food was very good! I had the fried shrimp basket and I also highly recommend the seafood gumbo!
Despite how crazy busy it was, we had one of the hardest working waitresses that I’ve ever seen. She was non stop taking orders, delivering food and bringing out drinks! The wait staff here was friendly and worked hard to bring out food out quickly.
I highly recommend you give this place a visit!

I recently ate here with my family after getting a recommendation from a friend and the food was amazing!
We ordered:
Charbroiled oysters both the original (Cheese & garlic butter) and the seafood (Seafood stuffing, cheese & garlic butter). The original was a 4/5 it was well seasoned. The seafood was a 5/5 the seafood stuffed highly enhanced the flavor. If you have to choose one go with the latter. It also came with slices of French bread. The flavor was very robust.
Seafood Gumbo, this was very delicious. The rice was well cooked and the gravy/soup was seasoned in a delicious way. You can’t go wrong with this. There was a decent amount of meat and shrimp in it too
BBQ Shrimp with potatoes, sausage and corn. This was very good. The shrimp was huge and a good portion sized. The accompany sides that was added was good. The sausage wasn’t spicy just to note. The corn was boiled and flavored well
Stuffed crab, this was crabbed stuffed with shrimp and seasoning. This was very tasty and was surprisingly enjoyable and so delicious. You get two servings with seasoned fries.
Kids Meals Popcorn Shrimp, Chicken Tenders, and Chicken nuggets. The kids loved their meals. The shrimp has a great flavors and all the kids loved the seasoned fries. The tenders were plenty full about 6 the nuggets were about 8. More enough to stuff you child full. The popcorn was plentiful as well.
Service started off string but faltered as the dinner crowd came in. Other than that this would be a 5 star review. I would come back here and I recommend the food strongly.

Amazing food with very good prices. Mom and Pop place with Mom and Pop serving you! Great, fast service. The charbroiled oysters are better than a more well known restaurant here in NOLA – and close to half the price! The crawfish boudin is wonderful. The owner and his wife served us and are the sweetest people. My wife and I were blown away by this local gem.

I recently dined at Perino’s Boiling Pot and had a mixed experience. The food was enjoyable, particularly the chargrilled stuffed oysters, which were deliciously flavorful. However, I experienced significant heartburn and belly cramping afterward, likely due to the heavy use of butter. The shrimp and crabs were a bit underwhelming in terms of flavor compared to my expectations.
Additionally, the restaurant’s decor was a challenge for me. As an avid animal lover, I found the taxidermy displays of apes, deer, lions, and other animals quite distressing. While hunters might appreciate the collection, I didn’t.
