We went on a quiet Wednesday afternoon about 2:30pm and enjoyed their happy hour.
Ordered appies, pho and drinks – all fabulous! Our server Olivia was so pleasant and made great recommendations. Had a very nice time and hope to return in the future!

Best restaurant in U village IMO. (That’s saying a lot since UVillage is stacked.)
Pho Ha Noi is my personal favorite.
Lemongrass rockfish and Pho-rench dip is excellent.
Lemongrass soda is also a great non-alch option.

Incredibly disappointed by the portions — extremely skimpy on everything and makes the dish look bigger than it actually is with the plating. The price I paid was not at all reasonable to the portion I received, this should be criminal >:(
The flavors and taste of the food itself was very average but I would very much rather support smaller vietnamese restaurants.
I would never wish this upon my worst enemy >:( My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined >:(

Stopped by Ba Bar in U Village for lunch and had a really pleasant experience. The atmosphere was inviting, the wait staff were friendly, and the menu has a wide selection including good fish options.
Their coffee is excellent—they use Vita beans and make a better latte than most coffee spots. I had the rockfish with salad, rice, and a side of tomato tamarind soup. The fish was cooked perfectly, though the soup could use more seasoning. Overall 4/5 for the food.
A nice spot worth visiting in U Village, especially if you want both quality food and coffee.

Great experience! Food was delicious and had tons of flavor and was cooked perfectly! The menu offers a huge variety that guest can choose from. The drink selection is also provides a huge variety with encouraging guests to try drinks that you would definitely not find on other restaurant menus. The service was great as staff were attentive and provided helpful feedback when guests ask about something on the menu. The restaurant itself was super clean, well taken care of and beautiful decorated. Delicious restaurant and and a sibling to Monsoon which is also a very delicious restaurant that does really well! Highly recommend this restaurant and it’s unique menu!

The photo clearly shows six spring rolls, but our order came with only three tiny ones.
When I called to ask, the staff said the photo shows three rolls cut in half — but that’s simply not true. They were whole, and only three.
Paying over $12 for such a tiny portion is outrageous.
We’ve been loyal customers of Ba Bar for years, coming for date nights, dinners with friends, and many special occasions. But lately, the portions have shrunk drastically while prices keep rising.
The worst part was not just the mistake — it was the attitude.
The person on the phone was defensive and dismissive, showing no real care or accountability.
And let me be clear: an apology alone wouldn’t fix this.
This isn’t about getting a refund or hearing a “sorry.” It’s about how Ba Bar has completely lost its honesty and respect for loyal customers.
We are deeply disappointed and will not be returning.
This experience destroyed the trust we once had in a restaurant we truly loved.

I love this place! The decor is so fun without being too theme-y. Everyone who worked here that we encountered was really friendly, but at the same time efficient and let us eat and order in the tempo that we wanted. The food though is SO good. I always have the same thing- the combo vermicelli bowl. You get a little bit of everything, so you don’t feel like you missed out on anything. The portion sizes are generous. (We both brought something home) I wish it were earlier or that I could tolerate caffeine that late because I really love a Vietnamese coffee! It was a lively crowd on the patio with an assortment of eaters from those solo dining to a father and son to a girls group. There was happy talking and laughing in the back ground of our meal. It was sunny, but shaded by umbrellas on the patio. All in all a very enjoyable lunch.

A blend of fusion and traditional Vietnamese flavors, the dishes were decent overall — not particularly impressive, but not disappointing either. I still appreciate the restaurant’s effort and contribution in serving the community and offering Vietnamese cuisine to those who enjoy it.

I’m from out of town and came here the other day just to grab a drink (thought it was only a bar based off the name and had reservations elsewhere). Drinks were super yummy and food smelled so amazing that I HAD to come back today and was not disappointed one bit! I really enjoyed the food, their pho was delicious and the combo plate was definitely a favorite as well! All the staff is so welcoming and attentive as well!
