Long Horns is a chain steak house that I visit from time to time. Although it seemed very busy with multiple groups of 12 or larger, there were several tables empty. This seemed like a staffing issue but that would only be a guess. I ordered the grilled Shrimp with Peppers as a main course even though it was a starter and French onion soup. Both turned out quite good. Our waiter was top notch. Sadly I can’t remember his name. With the large crowds it was very noisy. Having a conversation with my associate was difficult at best. So, not the place I would recommend for an intimate dinner.

This location is serving rotten lettuce on their salad, which they charge extra for, the Sweet potato had been scooped out, probably because it was rotten based on everything else, And RAW barely cooked $30. Steak, I’m really disappointed and NOT going back. TERRIBLE, service wasn’t great either….

Went to eat lunch with the family, the place was pretty much empty and we were seated right away. 15 minutes passed, No server showed up so my wife went to inquire, seems like they had forgotten about us. Server came took the drinks order and was not pleasant with her general demeanor. A while later drinks arrived about 5-10 mins and we placed our order. We sat for the next 35 minutes waiting for our food. When we hit the 1 hour mark my wife once again got up to find out what was going on… The manager came rushing with just the salads in hand and said we are now expediting your meal to be prepared.. An hour later our food still wasn’t ready. The manager was polite and apologized while the Server continued to be in her mood and even talked back to her Manager that it’s not her fault and she did everything and that they had assigned her this table which seems like she couldn’t handle. I decided to take my business elsewhere and got up and left. No apologies from her for ruining our evening and proceeded to have more attitude and printing out the receipt like I was going to pay for the horrible service and few cokes. The manager stepped in and didn’t charge us for the drinks.

I am hoping that management will read this review and get rid of employees like her and serve their customers better in a timely manner.

Food was wonderful as usual. Hope was our server and was OUTSTANDING! She served our party of 12 like it was a party of 2. She handled every request with a smile. We never had to flag her down for anything. She was very professional and always had a smile. Best server I have had in a very long time!

Disappointed with the Chicken Tenders

I’ve ordered the Chicken Finger Plate from Longhorn multiple times, and they are usually really big and juicy and flavorful. However, my Togo order was extremely disappointing. Instead of the usual juicy, high-quality chicken tenders, I received what looked more like chicken nuggets—mostly breading with very little actual chicken. They were dry, over-breaded, and nothing like what I’ve come to expect. For the price, I expect better quality and consistency. Very frustrating experience, and I hope they improve this in the future. If I wanted chicken nuggets, I would’ve went across the street to McDonald’s and paid a third of the price.

We always go to the Monroe location because it’s better than the one in Covington. Tonight changed my whole perspective. My other half had her Chemo treatment today but felt good enough to go tonight. We walked right in and got sat in a booth. There was no line. We ordered our drinks and food. Her order came out perfect for her, but my outlaw ribeye came to the table rare when I order med rare. They took it back and came out with another the same way. They tried for a third time and it was rare also. I even asked three servers each time what cook is this, and they all said rare. Was still a bit chill in the middle. The server wanted me to try again, but I had to say no as my other half was at her time limit of feeling good and she was ready to go home. Server said I will have the manager remove it from your bill. Sever said he was sorry but we are just swamped tonight but let me get you a gift card. To me, that is no excuse to how you cook and serve the steak and there was no wait to get in and be seated . I asked for the manager and they didn’t even come to the table. They removed the steak from the bill and I never received a gift card or given the chance to speak to the manager. We don’t get to go out often due to chemo treatments. This was just a big let down for my wife as she wanted to eat me but didn’t get the chance and I had to leave hungry. Was a big waste of extra time due to the wait each time for another try on a steak, plus ruing a night to finally get to go out with my better half. Should of just went to the square. Very poor on their part.

Terrible service received from the “Manager” when making a complaint in restaurant in regards to a kitchen issue. The current management needs training or a replacement is necessary to uphold the exceptionally high restaurant standards not to mention the lacking service from our waitress who seemed to consistently forget our orders and requests. I’d like to think this is a poorly trained and unmanaged establishment rather than believe they were being racist towards my family but it sure felt that way when all I was offered at the end of our meal after requesting to speak with the management was $3 off a $100 plus bill. With his attitude and demeanor after their mistakes it’ll be the last time I try to make things simple when issues arise. Don’t waste your time or money here.

This evening was the pitts! Our server Michael was amazing but the food was horrible! We started off with an appetizer and I always order a hot tea with lemon and honey. The water was lukewarm and the lemons didn’t look very fresh. The appetizer came out but only after the very large party on the side of us had been served. It technically was edible, but not very hot. We moved on to our dinner, and that’s when it got worse. Two sides of lukewarm mashed potatoes and extremely undercooked and overly salty broccoli and very crunchy asparagus was served. The server was very apologetic, and offered to give us free dessert, but we declined. The kitchen dropped the ball and the manager never came out to apologize. I guess our table wasn’t a priority..

We love Longhorn and for the most part all things was good. The main reason I gave lower stars is due to a hair was found in my onion peddle and yes they were slammed but it took so long to get another order back to me. At that point the main plates finally got there so basically they was boxed up. Eating onion peddle the next day isn’t good and the my steak I asked for blue cheese crumble
Melted / braised on my steK and it was forgotten. When he took it back to be fixed yes they out the blue cheese on it and it was slightly melted but definitely was not right. As far as our waiter went yes he tried his best but being super busy it was like before you finished what was needed he was running off again. But on a good note he did stay on top of all drinks that was needed to be refilled.

It has been a while that I attended a Longhorn which had a good server and finished my plate. Shelley Cooper, one of the most attentive and friendly server’s I have had.
