The Asian King Chinese & Sushi Buffet is located in the new Walmart plaza just off of 64. It opened its doors for the first time on January 23,2013 and, in the time it has been open, has quickly become a favorite of local diners. The restaurant is owned by John Huang, who has over 14 years experience as a restaurateur. As indicated by the name, the restaurant is primarily a chinese and sushi buffet. There are a number of traditional chinese buffet selections, including offerings such as lo mein, sesame chicken, steamed dumplings , egg rolls and sugar donuts. There is also an ever fresh selection of a variety of sushi & sashimi on the sushi bar. In addition to the buffet selections, Asian King also offers a full menu.

I always eat way more than I should here, but it’s so good. It has something for everyone. I love the sushi buffet. The regular bar and dessert bar have a great variety. My favorites are the Philadelphia roll, garlic shrimp, and the donuts. Don’t forget to get the ice cream at the end of your meal. This restaurant is clean, the service is great, and the price is right!

Our favorites are the wonton soup , sushi station, green beens, potatoes and the baked salmon. Honestly it is all delicious we haven’t found anything we don’t like each time we come.

Staff, food and ambience were very solid. Waitresses were very nice and attentive, and the food was very tasty. Enough to satisfy anyone’s buffet cravings. Fairly priced for what is offered. Would recommend, most definitely. My wife and I live 60 miles from there and will be returning bi-weekly just to enjoy it. It’s that good.

Visited here due to a clients recommendation and was pleasantly surprised! Dumplings on the buffet is always a key to my heart. Food was fresh and there was quite a bit of variety! I will definitely be making future trips here!

I don’t know what it is about Chinese buffets, but the staff are never friendly. They always seem to be in their own little world. Hospitality is not really something they understand. You are more like livestock to be moved in and out. They aren’t rude or mean, they are just not personable. With that said, the food is always consistent and it is always good. The floors seem to always need cleaning. We will continue coming, but I see so much room for improvement from a business standpoint.

We will have to give them another try. The food was good, but it was not hot, lukewarm on most things. I’m not sure if there was something going on that day that prevented it from being hot enough, but we will try it again as most things seemed to have a good flavor.

Overall, I’m glad I went. $13.99 for dinner buffet, $14.95 after tax – I feel I got a huge, tasty dinner, for a good price. Would return.

Chicken on a stick is super tasty too – a lil cold, but warm and delicious when you get one from the bottom of the pan, where it’s mote heated.
Pork in dumplings and in egg rolls – both looked amazing, but I can’t eat pork.
Spring rolls are vegetarian, but really skimpy on filling – mostly dough.
Coconut chicken was so dry that I had to spit it out.
Black pepper chicken is sorta gross and chewy.
Chicken and broc are okay – not bad.
Potatoes are super, duper, greasy.
Interesting choice of Jesus worship music playing overhead the whole time, though, loud enough for me to hear every word.

This restaurant was a major disappointment. The food had no flavor and the buffet offered very few options. The service was mediocre, and one of our drinks was clearly watered down. The restroom also had an unpleasant smell, which raised concerns about overall cleanliness. What bothered us most was that two members of our group were seated separately in the back for no clear reason, which made us uncomfortable. The experience was so bad that I wrote this review in the parking lot before even leaving the premises. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
