Spike the owner is super nice. Food was very fresh and delicious. Being from Houston we try a lot of Vietnamese food but I’ve never had SMOKED BRISKET PHO! Makes the whole broth have a deeper flavor. But the best part was the VIETNAMESE COFFEE. It’s his own recipe and it’s so flavorful. Loved it. Will definitely be back.

This place is super good!! Everything we ordered was amazing. It’s modern Vietnamese food with a twist, delicious, bold flavors, and a super friendly owner. Highly recommend the smoked brisket pho or rice. The baos were also bangin! Come for the food and water views. Will be back!

This is such a great spot! In town for my father’s doctor appointment and decided to try some place new.I really wanted some pho. I found this place from google, best decision, because it was so good! I got the smoked brisket pho and dumplings.
For me Pho is about broth and this broth was wonderful, so much flavor and paired with the smoked brisket it was just what I needed! I also want to mention that the owner was so friendly and attentive ! Try them! You won’t regret it ❤️

P.s Try the coffee. It’s fantastic , you can take it to go!

If I could give more the 5 stars I would. The seafood Pho was amazing! The cajun chicken wings were the bestbI habe had. Spike the owner was running the show all by himself and never missed a beat! I have found my happy place in Galveston!

Came here because of the reviews.

First: there is no pirate theme inside. It’s more of a dive bar. Big TVs with sports and one speaker in the back for all the TVs.

Second: the service was slow. I get it, it as one waitress’s , the owner and whoever in the back. But it was slow! Very slow and frustrating that we had to hunt down service to take our orders and to check out. The excuse was “ oh I thought you wanted just starters”, hmm does it look like I was? I had three children and two adults.. anyways…

Food, third! Smoked brisket pho was flavorless. The Smokey flavor is smelt, the broth was blend and the brisket was chewy. The brisket Sandwhich was an issue because of the chewiness. The chicken tender and fries were great to my 6 year old daughter. Then I shared a noodle chicken dish with a child and it was ehh okay? We didn’t get the side with it but never had service and it was not worth hunting them down. The pirate fries were crispy and cheesy but got soggy after siting around. The chicken wings were .. different .. they smelt sour which scared us so we tried one wing each and just was worried about the scent. I mean it said a tangy spicy sauce but the tangy was just too tangy for us and we didn’t want to get sick while on vacation.

We walked in and didnt know what to expect but everywhere else was packed. We got a table right away and everyone ordered something different. My 8 year old and I shared the house chicken stir fry, it was delicious but my daughter was picky about the onions (if we come back we will just order it without onions). My 10 year old loved the spring rolls and egg rolls. The table shared parmesan fries. I also had the house salad with the creamy ginger dressing. My husband got the garlic wings and he loved them. I highly recommend this unexpected jewel!

This place is amazing! If you like Asian food you have got to come here ! We had the pork bah mi so flavorful and delicious, the beef pho – extremely generous with the meat and very hard to stop eating when you start. The chicken rice plate, very hard to get chicken to remain so moist and flavorful and they nailed it, egg rolls … crispy hot and tasty .. won tons .. crispy and full of flavor. The Vietnamese coffee is their own special brand and is some of the best I have ever had. And we were thrilled that the welcomed our small dog . Put this on your must visit list… you will not be disappointed !

I would give this place a million stars in all categories! Came here after work on a rainy day and had the most incredible pho of my life!!! Hot fresh and unlike any pho I have ever had with the smoked brisket … the taste and smell will make your mind melt! The crispy tamarind wings … good Lord … this place is total flavor town! I cannot wait to come back! Thank you Captain Spike!!!

We just tried this place and wow — absolute gem right by Galveston Island. The brisket pho was next level, rich and comforting, and the brisket sandwich was unreal. You can tell everything is made with care and intention. The rum punch deserves its own shout-out
dangerously good.
