Tried some non Hibachi items today. Started with the Sushi eggrolls and Creamy spicy shrimp. The eggrolls were decent. The creamy spicy shrimp were fried good but they were bland. My daughter and I had two mocktails. Our server, Noah, told us he could pretty much make any of the cocktails in mocktail form. We had blueberry lemon drop and Lychee martini. Both were good. The lychee martini was really tart but we asked for simple syrup which made it better. Now the star of the show were the off menu Deep South sushi rolls. Delicious! Lightly fried on the outside with crab, crawfish, and cream cheese. Fantastic!! I will definitely be back!

Ichiban does not disappoint. Everything I tried here was straight FIYA. Sushi egg rolls were delicious, pot stickers were hands down the best I’ve ever had, the pork belly fried rice had a distinct flavor all it’s own, and the Death Valley & Ya Ya Rolls are worth every penny. The decor was nice and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Staff was courteous and very friendly. Definitely one of the best restaurants on Essen Lane.

OUTSTANDING service. I had a fantastic time with mother for her birthday at this establishment. I highly recommend Ichiban to all Asian food lovers who want to have an amazing hibachi experience. Our chef Chris gave us a fun and loving time as it was our first time dining at Ichiban. Our waiter Katelyn was on her toes and able to provide service to us accordingly with good attitude and energy. The food was amazing and I was able to truly help my mom celebrate. Thank you Chris was helping bring a fun light to our first visit. I will definitely be coming again.

We took 2 kids and a teenager for hibachi. They loved the show and the food was great. Our hibachi master was so much fun we had a great conversation and a fun night. There was a small renovation going on in the restaurant but it didn’t bother us.

I had stopped to this place last week for lunch and when I tell you, this is some of the best hibachi I’ve had in a while. The steak was seasoned to perfection and the rice and the soup was good. Hell, everything was good. Even the customer service was great! A nice quiet setting is the perfect spot to eat at and it is not as pricey as I’ve heard it was please give this place a try you won’t regret it. I forgot to take a picture because I ate the food so dang fast but baby I will be back !!

Let’s start off with this 18% gratuity that they charge when sitting at the hibachi table whether it’s 1 person in your party or 100 people in your party every check will have 18% gratuity added to it. We were OKAY with that but expectations were set high. I ordered a crunch roll and never received it.. by the time the server realized I hadn’t received my sushi they realized a couple sitting across from us had been given and now eating our sushi. I didn’t want a remake of it because that would have taken another 30 minutes! Then when the guy comes out to cook he overcooked my lobster as I got the lobster and shrimp hibachi dinner. To me it’s as if the servers KNOW they are getting a tip so they feel they do not have to work as hard because they are getting guaranteed money. The food was okay but not worth the price. I did like the quantity they give but the overall quality was 2/10… it looks better than it tastes. Try at your own risk but I know my family and I will not be back.
