Food was good, but not great. I have to try a few more items to make that judgment. The guacamole though was too salty. The atmosphere was chill and it can get crowded around lunch time. The service staff needs improvement. No one came around to refill our water until I had to flag someone down.

The place’s atmosphere is really cool and kind of feels like you’re in a little Pueblo in Mexico . The service is also very good and we really enjoyed our experience here; the food itself is not bad and they give very good quantities; tortillas on the side with your order of birria, I have had better birria personally, but that is subjective since there are different styles of cooking/serving birria, so give this place a shot, you won’t be disappointed!

Food was ok, but for birria it was definitely missing the handmade tortillas. And it wasn’t hot enough to my liking. They also didn’t didn’t provide the traditional chile de arbol for the birria.

Total hidden gem! Lunch specials on the back of the menu for $15. Large filling portions served on a huge plate, more like a platter. I got the carne asada burrito. They offered it served wet for an extra $1. I like mine dry. Meal came with salad, guacamole, sour cream, rice, and a cup of tortilla soup. I got full off the tortilla chips and house salsa and my cup of soup. Ended packing most of my meal.
Lunch was not busy and only 5 minutes from downtown Long Beach. Adequate parking on the street and their private lot.
Today there was a guitarist who serenaded our group. He didn’t come with the restaurant, and just happened to be there that day. Tip him well.

We accidentally found this place and we are very happy. We stopped in! The chimichanga was the biggest chimichanga I’ve ever seen. This salsa was incredible as was the hot salsa. And definitely get the guacamole.

This place is pretty good.. I’ve been to a lot of other Mexican restaurants but this place seems to care about their food cuz I could taste it that’s why I gave them five stars. Now the server could have been a lot better. The restaurant wasn’t packed. He kept hounding me for my order then once I got it he disappeared. I had to go find him so I can get a refill on my iced tea. I will definitely be back to this place cuz like I said the food is good maybe I’ll just sit in a different section

Really good choice if you are craving birria de chivo (goat stew) which is their specialty. They also have different kind of dishes in their menu to please everyone. The michelada I ordered was bomb and that salsa was really good as well. The bowl of birria was delicious. The broth was exceptionally good and delicious tasting. Adding some lime and some of that chile ️ sauce to it made it taste even better.
