I wanted some seafood, and C-Stones is close by so we gave it a try. It was a pleasant surprise. The staff that greated us was friendly and diverse. We were advised to get there before 5 because the place fills up for dinner, and it did. The dining room and bar was alost full by the time we left. Anyway, we started out with an order of fried clams. They came out quickly. They were hot, the bellies were huge, and they were fried to perfection. Then came my main course, the Cajun Ribeye. It was huge, swimming in juices, grilled to a Perfect medium, and very tasty. The mashed potatoes were good. The only thing I didn’t care for was the summer squash. It was a little too mushy for my taste. But it tasted alright. Our server Robin was friendly and attentive. Make sure you tip! Overall, a very good experience.

We went to try the pizza. The pizza was very good although a little skimpy on the toppings. The service was very good. However, There was no atmosphere. The lighting was horrible. Get rid of the LED lights. It was so bright! Soften the lighting, add a little personality with less white to make a more inviting, relaxing atmosphere. Sorry to say we will not be back.

Food was good, waitress was a sweet lady. We came earlier on Saturday and it got busy by just 5pm, a great spot for locals to connect and have some good food! Not so much different than Vels.

Yesterday my family and I visited the rebranding of one of our favorite restaurants, a place we frequent often. We were very impressed to see the changes that have already seamlessly taken place. We tried some new menu items and loved seeing some of our favorites were kept (Vel’s famous lobster bisque, stuffed mushrooms and Cajun Ribeye)
Food and drinks were great!
We love you Joan and Shorty!

Came here for the first time. Had Alexia and Robin as our waitress and they were fantastic. Very personal and accommodating.
We had the fisherman’s platter and shrimp fettuccine alfredo and they were both delicious.
Will definitely be back.
Also got some clam chowder that was the same recipe as Vel’s to take home.
This place is a must try. Give them a chance.

Lots of the same friendly waitstaff which is why I still stop by after the purchase of Vel’s Restaurant. Food was good, chowder was excellent and I need to try out other items on the menu b4 I rate it again. Overall a nice family restaurant and worth visiting.

Food was OK nothing to write home about. Service was great. However in the middle of our meal mouse ran across the floor. Drinks were good, again for the 100 plus dollars we spent, food should have Been much better. Doubt we’ll return.

I don’t ever leave a review but this was such a disappointing experience. First off- drabby atmosphere. Sure they painted the walls white but overall it gives off “the landlord special” renovation vibes. No personality throughout the place. Maybe a decoration somewhere? Nope. Just white walls, black booths and carpet tiles. We felt like we were dining in someone’s outdated apartment. We got the mozzarella sticks, calamari and then steak tips.
Everything tasted and gave off the impression of USA Foods/Performance food distribution prepackaged frozen food that you throw in the fryer. $25-26 (can’t remember exactly) for 4 small steak pieces. We didn’t finish any of the plates. Took the rest of th steak to feed to my dog. I really don’t have high expectations when dining out. Wouldn’t consider myself or my partner a “foodie”. This was just bad food. I will say service was great. Our waitress was very pleasant and very attentive.

We visited this long time local favorite with family for a late dinner. While the parking lot was busy, there were still plenty of places to park.
Vel’s is separated into a bar and restaurant, with a door to enter each (although you can get from one to the other on the inside). I would describe the atmosphere like a small cafeteria, not fancy, just practical.
The tables are tight and on a busy night with a wait I can only imagine it to be a very noisy place. But being at the gateway to the Cape I can further imagine the din of that gathering to be welcoming and fun.
As for the food I only have one thing to say; bring your appetite. The plates are overfull and the food is good. I wouldn’t say it was gourmet; the fried clams could have been better and the salmon was a bit tough. But the portions more than make up for the lack of perfection.
If you’re heading to the Cape, or back home, Vel’s is definitely a great place for lunch or dinner. Everyone in your party can find something to eat, and you’ll have leftovers to bring with you for later.

Overall the place was amazing. I have to admit I may waited for 5 minutes for someone to serve me but I come in at a later time when they was cleaning everything up but man that is some of the best food for local restaurant I’ve had for a long time and the atmosphere was great and the servers and everybody was very very polite 5 out of 5 stars other than just waiting for a few minutes it was absolutely amazing. Just get anything on the menu. It has to be great I just picked randomly and I loved it.
