My sister and I visited this cafe on our way home from our weekend in Baltimore. I’m so glad we decided to stop here. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was great as well. I will definitely come back and visit. My sister had the stuffed french toast w/blueberries & strawberries and eggs, bacon and potatoes. I had french toast, a deep fried risotto benedict. When I tell you my breakfast was amazinggggg, it was every bit of deliciousness!!!! I’m a foodie so excited about great food!!! If you’re In Baltimore you definitely have to try this place out!!! You won’t be disappointed….trust me.

One of the best breakfasts in Baltimore. Sage and Jess did a great job waiting on my business partner and I. The coffee was excellent. We got the cinaroll pancake and it was one of the best pancakes I’ve ever had and the the verdes ranchero was one of the best juevos rancheros I’ve ever had as well. Can’t wait to come back and visit soon. Keep up the great work!

Overall experience is great. I liked the cinnamon pancakes, which are really good, and the burrito. The food was great, and it is a nice place in the area for brunch. We went 12pm and there was no wait time.

We got the huevos verdes and the egg, cheese, and meat biscuit. We thought both of them were fine, not bad, but by no means phenomenal. The coffees were also both fine, but something tasted a bit off in the peppermint mocha latte. The service was great, atmosphere was lovely, and the cafe was quite busy, but not overwhelming . I would definitely give it one more shot, but I don’t think it was memorable.

We truly enjoyed our experience here. The food was excellent. I would recommend their biscuits the best I’ve tasted. I had a breakfast sandwich with you fried eggs. It was sublime. Coffee Was delicious however we did order the special coffee for the season and it was not good. But that’s what we get for trying things.
We did have to wait, unfortunately outside and it was raining. I think that was the only drawback of the experience. It would’ve been nice if they had an awning to stand under instead of Standing in the rain. The place is too small for people to wait inside.

Spoons is hands-down one of the best breakfast spots in Federal Hill — maybe in all of Baltimore. From the moment you walk through the door, the warm, cozy vibe hits you, and you know you’re in for something special. It’s got that perfect neighborhood café energy where you feel welcomed whether you’re a regular or a first-time visitor.
The coffee is absolutely top-notch — bold, smooth, and locally roasted. You can tell they take it seriously here. And the menu? A total dream for breakfast and brunch lovers. My hubby always orders the 2-2-2 and I get the Eggs Benedict. They are always on point. The Breakfast Burrito and Crab Benedict are also winners, packed with flavor and fresh ingredients.
What really sets Spoons apart is the service. The staff is consistently friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely happy to be there. Even when it’s packed (which it often is), they keep things moving with ease and a smile.
Whether you’re a local or just passing through Federal Hill, do yourself a favor and make time for breakfast at Spoons. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to come back to again and again — and bring your friends along next time.

Went for brunch with a friend. The wait time (advertised 15 minutes) was less than all four places that we stopped to prior. & honestly the wait time was less (7 minutes) but we only needed a table for 2. Our table was located upstairs which wasn’t a problem at all. The atmosphere was great lots of art. Very peaceful and quiet. The server was very friendly & greeted us with a smile & water in hand. The drinks came first. Both ordered the latte, salted caramel for me. The food didn’t take long. I order The Beast it was wonderful and the homemade biscuits are a must try. The fried oysters and grits w/ bacon and mushrooms are chefs kiss. They ran out of French toast, so the stuffed pancakes was a great substitute. 10 out of 10 I definitely will recommend this place for family friends even to just enjoy it by yourself.

The chai latte was ehhhh….regular. Nothing special but those cinnamon roll pancakes was addictive. You don’t need any butter or syrup! They’re good to go AS IS

My group and I had a great time here today. We came in for lunch and, it’s true, you really should make reservations. At noon on a Sunday the wait was about 45 minutes to seat four people. When it was our turn to be seated, the wait staff was very friendly and made jokes with us from the start. I imagine and hope that all the staff here were as friendly. I hate that I didn’t catch her name!

The coffee we had was fabulous, both in presentation and in taste. We tried the egg nog coffee, the marshmallow coffee, and their regular black drip, all great. Yes, the marshmallow coffee actually comes with a toasted marshmallow!

The food was fantastic too. The waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu and the food came out quickly and hot. I love that they have great sweet and savory options for brunch.

The only odd thing was that there is a little bit of a rush here to turn the tables to new customers. I totally understand it though. With a great restaurant like this in such high demand and with such little seating, you need to keep the hungry people flowing so everyone can have a chance to enjoy it.

Spoons: Where Breakfast Feels Like a Hug
If breakfast had a love language, Spoons would be fluent in it. From the moment you walk in, it’s like stepping into someone’s cozy kitchen — the kind with delicious coffee, warm lighting, and the smell of something delicious wafting from the stove.
The atmosphere? Pure comfort. It’s not just “homey,” it’s actual-home vibes. You half expect someone’s grandma to pop out and ask if you want seconds. And the food? Tastes like it was made by someone who knows your soul — fluffy eggs, golden potatoes, and that hot cider? A mug of autumn magic. Sweet, spiced, and so good it should come with a warning: may cause spontaneous happy dancing.
Service was lightning-fast and genuinely friendly, like they were happy you showed up (because they probably are). If you’re looking for a breakfast spot that wraps you in warmth and feeds you like family, Spoons is your place.
