I stopped by Mac’s after a round of golf at Como and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food. It beat my expectations in all areas. The fries were delicious and crispy, the cod fish was fantastic, the tartare sauce was some of the best I’ve had out at a restaurant. The coleslaw was fresh and yummy. And the cheese curds lived up to their name, just as good and if not better than the MN state fair!
The owner took our orders and it was nice to support a local small business. I will definitely be revisiting soon!!

Ordered take-out on a Friday night as a Wisconsinite hoping to have a good ol’ Friday night fish fry and Mac’s did not disappoint. The fish was delicious, we ordered crispy, and the tartar sauce and coleslaw were great. This place is such a gem to find here in the Twin Cities. Definitely recommend ordering online ahead of time!

I’m from New Zealand, we take our fish and chips very seriously and these are some of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Perfectly battered fish. The tacos were phenomenal. Will definitely come back here.

We stopped in here on walleye Wednesday where the walleye is 15% off! We Ordered a walleye basket and a piece of halibut. The gentleman working the counter was extremely kind and helpful. Our food came out piping hot. Everything we delicious! I love that the fries are cut right in house! The place is very tiny inside if you are wanting to eat in there. Unfortunately, we stopped by on the day the Canadian wildfires took over the Twin Cities with smoke, otherwise they have a great little outside seating area that would have been enjoyable. They package the fish in a brown bag with lots of extra napkins and even some wet wipes which were a great touch! I would definitely recommend this place if you are in the area!!

Got #1 with Halbut. 17$ including 10% tip and taxes. Good size meal for 1 but you might want to get a bigger meal if you have a large appetite, otherwise I found #1 to be perfect amount of food even though I hadn’t ate and was really hungry. The breading was freaking good as hell and had a really nice fried flavor and I like the large sea salt flakes/pieces they sprinkle on top the fish. The fries were pretty good they reminded me of carols fries. I think I prefer regular fries tho idk what’s different about these but they’re just like ok to me. The tartar sauce is good even though it looks like just plain mayo w mix ins at first glance(to me it did). I really adore the nautical boat vibe inside like specifically the framed photos of boats and such. Overall, worth.

I ordered cod & chips and a side of clams.
Best thing first. The fish was the best I’ve ever had anywhere. Light and flaky with just the right amount of batter. Don’t change it ever.
It was slightly let down by the starter sauce. It tasted like miracle whip with too little relish in it.
The clams were totally uninspired. Cooked well, but still not chewy enough. Good amount of batter, but no zing to it.
The fries were just as good as you could do at home with russet potatoes and vegetable oil. A bit soggy and nothing of note.
The Cole slaw was inedible.
Staff were friendly and service was as quick as could be expected.
Interior looked like it’s in desperate need of a remodel. Modestly clean but ancient beyond belief.

I ordered the walleye basket for takeout. They completed the order in about 10 minutes, and everything was pretty good. A little light on seasoning for my taste, but the fish and fries were both fresh and crispy.

This place rocks! Cod was super fresh and flakey. All they do is Fish n Chips, and it shows. Haven’t been here for a while. I almost forgot how good it was. Do yourself a favor and head to Mac’s now!
