This place was good. I’m not a fried fish/seafood person and catfish isn’t my thing, but my husband loves it so we checked it out. I believe he got 3 filets. He said they were very good with good batter, and flaky. He also got 3 hush puppies which were by far THE BEST HUSH PUPPIES EVER. The cole slaw really is so good y’all… We have different cole slaw preferences and we both enjoyed it. It’s super chopped which I like, but my husband likes a more coarse cole slaw, but we did both enjoy it. He got the turnip greens which he thought was pretty bland, so maybe don’t choose that. I was kind of surprised to be in the heart of the south and find bland greens. That should be illegal in Alabama! I had the fried chicken salad which was amazing and not skimping on anything. It was a generous, tasty portion. The tea was fresh (sweet AND umsweet) and if we come around this way again we will be back! In the meantime, check it out… I’m sure you’ll find something good

Wow, I am from the south (Memphis) but David’s Catfish House Impressed me. Food Excellent, Wait staff Excellent, Atmosphere Perfect. I can’t say on thing wrong, it was one of the most pleasurable experiences I’ve had in a long time. Keep up the great work!!

Everyone we see one of these..we stop! Excellent catfish whole or fillet.. they’re both do well seasoned, meaty and made hot to order. I have to give a special shout-out for their coleslaw and my husband just raves over there seafood platter.
The place always has a nice homey vibe feels like you’re sitting at your granddaddy’s table eating his catch of the Day! I certainly recommend that you swing by whenever you see one of their signs it’s a good value meal !

Deep south, Alabama home feeling atmosphere. Got the fried shrimp po-boy and a fried oyster po-boy for lunch. Lightly breaded and not over greasy. Really good. Fries and coleslaw for side dishes.

Place an order for liver dinner fried a little crispy but it I guess crispy meant hard to them but anyway made it home to enjoy my food only to find that it had a smell and I couldn’t eat it so threw it away this the first time it’s happened I won’t be ordering that again

Let me start by saying in from Louisiana.. I had boiled shrimp, greens, gumbo and a catfish filet. The gumbo was a stew. It’s really thick with little meat or shrimp. The shrimp tasted like they were frozen in a bag. The greens were really good. Ill definitely try again. The catfish was really good. On the second trip, i had catfish fried okra and bang bang shrimp. These were all great. Service was great

Came in tonight and was greeted by the sweetest girl! Our waiter was pretty awesome too!! Hope to see their faces there more often! The food was so good

We were in the area and wanted to try a local establishment. The staff was attentive and we were never without a drink. The sweet tea was great and my Corona was cold and crisp as one could ask for. That being said the catfish plate and deep fried pickles were nothing to brag about (pickles were way over battered, catfish was mushy, and hush puppies could of been used for golf). I will try a different restaurant if in the area again.
