stopped in and purchased a maple bacon long John (first time trying), a small fruit treat and the DELICIOUS Bee Sting! Yes, the outer building needs help, but the treats were WONDERFUL!!
I’m definitely going back!! SO happy to see the Bee Hive and Sting back!!
Wish we could do a Habitat for Hans Bakery and get folks together to fix the outer building for them!! Would LOVE to see this bakery stay open!!

I refuse to buckle and buy mainstream donuts. I’ve lived in the cities my whole life. I want Small-town donuts. So I am making my mission to find the best Small-town donuts in MN. The donuts I purchased just moments before closing. Amazing til the end. I can’t wait to try them fresh. 10 out of 10 will return again.

Went to pick up Thanksgiving pies and was ambushed by an awesome selection of baked goods in the case. The staff was so patient and accommodating while I ordered a plethora of delicious looking pastries! Quite possibly the best chocolate croissant I’ve ever had! The flaky pastry encased the perfect amount of rich, scrumptious chocolate!

Like many, we use to come here alot and absolutely loved it.
We pulled in on a Saturday at 9am and I thought it was permanently closed. There were 2 cars in the parking lot. We walked inside to an empty bakery (literally)….empty bakery cases and displays taken down and just laid out on a table in the entry way. If i didnt just hype up my 3yr old for donuts, i probably would have just walked out. Honestly, i felt like i was in the wrong spot. There were maybe 4 trays of donuts and danishes in the massive bakery case. The donuts look like they’ve been redipped in icing, after tasting them, i wouldn’t doubt it. They are incredibly stale and dried out, basically inedible. We asked for glazed and they only had maple glazed, a few old fashioned donuts and a couple sprinkled donuts. The worker apologized and said everything that they had was used for orders.
We’re super disappointed. I wish we would have read current reviews before we tried to go.
I hope someone buys this place and restores it back to the original glory it deserves for such a loved location from the community.

This place is amazing. The environment is chill, comfortable and very friendly family. Every Saturday morning there are multiple families, or young kids with their grandparents just enjoying some amazing donuts. I mean, these these donuts are fresh. They have an amazing selection and they taste amazing!! The caramel rolls were just okay and needed maybe a warm up but man, so many options! They have fresh coffee for purchase, and a soda fountain, milk and juice options. Plus, you can walk out with a great stash of tasty treats and not break the bank. You need to come by here, you won’t be disappointed! 🙂

2024-08-31 – stopped in for some treats – service was friendly and helpful – donuts were ok – wouldn’t go out of the way to go here, but if I was in the area I’d probably stop in.

August 14, 2023 10:00am one lone customer reading a book.
Years ago this was a place “to be seen at”.
Now, my oh my how things change.
No baking goes on in this building anymore, everything is shipped in from Woullet’s.
I must say our three donuts were quite good. Bakery items five stars.
The rest of the place no stars.
My coffee looked like it came from an oil rig in some far off state, jet black! Possible the worst coffee I have had in my many years on earth.
The exterior had weeds growing all over the place. The patio was a shambles.
The floor inside may have been swept or mopped a very long time ago.
The bathroom, only use in a personal emergency. Very untidy.

Showed up at 6:55am to get about 5 dozen donuts. Waited till 7:10am and they didn’t open. Don’t post your hours at 7-2 when you are not going to be open! And there were other vehicles waiting in the parking lot also so it was more $$$ lost. Great business plan.

Hans is not Hans like it used to be. Bought out by a guy, from Russia, who went to NYC to make pizza, then to MN who bought out a large bakery and now has a bldg he mass produces bakery products in for many bakeries. Including Hans, promised to keep well regarded goods in stock, ha! Bee hive gone, when did have it, it was canned custard and not the signature tangy sweet filling. They do not bake anything at this once thriving bakery. Hans and the gal that bought it a while ago, then sold to this person, were the only good bakery owners. Sad…He was the one who owned famous Woulett also.
