This place is truly a hidden gem. Was searching for a near by place. And decided to give this sushi spot a try. They have 2 for 1 sushi roll specials on specific days so check out their website. The service is wonderful and the food is delicious. We’ve already been back 4 times. Had the pleasure of being served by Andrea and Robert. Such nice and attentive people. They make the experience so much better.

This is our favorite sushi place in Miami. We don’t even live in Doral and we drive over to Kokai. Their rolls are huge and you can taste the difference when it comes to the freshness. Valentina and Rober are the best!

If you’re reading this, it means you have great taste! HUGE portions!!! As big as the portions, I couldn’t stop eating! The food was so well taken care of, meaning prepared with so much love! Cute and quaint atmosphere. Delicious menu of wine selections! And Jennifer is the BEST! Jennifer es la mejor!! So sweet! Impeccable memory and attention to detail. She anticipates your every need. We didn’t want for anything!! We’ll definitely revisit! You could tell it was a local favorite spot and they’ve been here for a while. Some things are a tiny bit “dated”, but not enough to notice and it doesn’t effect the experience. Clean bathroom! You can also tell that they are here to stay.

The attention was excellent. What I liked the most is that you can see the entire preparation process of each roll by the chefs who enjoy each creation.
I believe that true sushi does not need soy sauce, that gives it the unique flavor that is achieved with the combination of each ingredient and in Kokai they managed to give the dish a different flavor.
When you finish eating everything you order, even the dessert, you can’t tell which one was the best since they were all delicious and incredibly delicious. Thank you for this unforgettable experience.

This restaurant has a beautiful touch and very clean. The staff is friendly. The food was just so-so. I found the sushi of different varieties to taste almost the same. And one of my sushi roll did not taste good but kept wondering why and realized that the seaweed in that roll was giving it an awful taste so I took the sushi apart to throw out the seaweed. Also if you order a bottle of San Pellegrino, just know that it is almost the size of the Kikkoman soy bottle.

The food here was great! Good portions as well. My sister and I had 2 giant hand rolls, steamed gyoza, and 2 sushi rolls. I also had a Sprite, and we spent $80 for the meal. The only thing was the service was weird. The waiter was very helpful beforehand, and then after the food came, he never returned. We finished our food and had to call them over to give us the check because no one came back even after picking up our meal. Other than that, it was pretty good, and we will return.
