Social Profile:

”Brothers Ruben and Ozzy have been cooking together for decades, earning a reputation for their spectacular fish tacos and charismatic service. In 2012, the brothers opened their first restaurant in downtown Palm Springs, specializing in seafood dishes like shrimp buckets, oyster shooters, clam chowder, campechanas (Mexican seafood cocktails) and crab enchiladas. You’ll also find pasta and surf and turf selections on the menu, though this is the kind of place to kick back with a few beers and an endless run of small seafood plates.”

Relaxed, open-view kitchen with an eclectic menu of seafood bites, plus outdoor seating.

Wow we highly recommend this restaurant! We were fortunate enough to get a seat at the bar and struck up a conversation with the chef who we found out was the owner Ozzy. We tried the Oyster Rockefeller which were awesome, next we tried a Shrimp Taco which was equally as good, what hit it out of the park were the baked New Orleans Oysters. Cannot wait to go back. We highly recommend!!

If you do not come to this place while in Palm Springs, California, you are missing out! Not only is the food amazing and served hot and fresh in front of you, the owner Ozzy makes it even more special. Definitely sit at the bar and watch his Masterpiece’s come to life! We had the New Orleans oysters, Ozzie, and Reuben specials. Everything was absolutely amazing! We even bought T-shirts because we loved it that much

Would have given 10 stars if I could! I rate Cioppinos every where I go. BEST EVER! Huge and seafood galore! Hubby had Rubin’s Special…also loaded with amazing seafood. Ozzy is the best!

This is my second visit during my trip to Palm Springs, and it didn’t disappoint. The food is out of this world … hands down the best seafood in the city! Everything is incredibly fresh and the flavors are absolute perfection.

We really like this little restaurant in downtown Palm Springs.
They have a great menu, indoor and outdoor seating, fair prices, and fairly good service.
It is always a busy place, and that speaks to the quality of the food.
Our meal was excellent! I can highly recommend the calamari and the crab enchiladas. Both were amazing!
It is best to have a reservation here for dinner, but we have walked up several times and were able to get a table after a short wait. You can also sit at the bar if you don’t have reservations and seats are available.
I would hesitate to recommend this restaurant if you are vegetarian or vegan, as menu options are limited.
We will definitely keep returning here and will recommend it to our friends.

This is a hidden gem in Palm Springs. Fresh seafood & splashy tropical drinks.
Food- halibut ceviche:
firm, fresh & perfectly cooked in lime and citrus.
New Orleans oysters: hint of mustard, cream & melted mozzarella cheese.
Halibut steak: portions are outrageously huge. Plenty of prefectly steamed broccoli and a large size of Alfredo sauce angel hair.
Staff-all well trained, efficient, happy & polite. The man in charge of this melange is the charming Ruben Lopez, co-owner with his brother Ozzy and chef de cuisine. Overly fair pricing for quality and quantity for seafood.
Spectacular evening.

For a play that has “oyster bar” in the name, you’d think they know how to shuck an oyster. They came with shards of shell all over the oyster, were dry, and gritty. The broken shell pieces were so large that my partner cracked his tooth! I wouldn’t dare touch them after picking out so many pieces the size of watermelon seeds. Some were large, but there was tons of small one. Service was good, waitress was quick and attentive. Drinks are ok at best.

We had dinner just an hour before closing, but we were greeted warmly and seated quickly, which made a great first impression.

We ordered the crab enchiladas and Ozzy’s Special—huge shrimp in a sweet and spicy sauce—and both dishes were absolutely delicious. I don’t usually return to the same restaurant, but this is definitely a place I’d come back to!

The Halibut was absolutely amazing! I ordered oyster’s on the 1/2 shell which were okay. But the Halibut made up for it along with the steam broccoli and pasta. Service was great. The staff is very friendly and made sure you were taken care of. If you’re Palm Springs don’t pass up this little gem of a restaurant. You won’t be disappointed!

Unreal place for Mexican seafood, or just seafood in general.

We came here for lunch because Joshua Tree was too hot.

We ordered everything to share and it was so good. We ordered the fried oyster taco, New Orleans oysters, and the Campechana (which might be the star of the show).

They were quick with their service and everyone was very nice. We were seated right away as well. A great place to take a break from exploring.
