Our dishes are always prepared with simple, yet sophisticated presentation, using only the best ingredients available. We believe in classic dishes with a creative twist, which is reflected in our signature dishes such as our Los Agaves Enchiladas—filled with fresh halibut and shrimp, red pepper, onions, and topped with our smoky chipotle sauce—or our Chiles Nortenos—stuffed with shrimp and Oaxaca cheese and topped with chipotle dressing. Our many variations of our famous Ceviches are also a fresh, crowd-favorite menu item.

This place never misses. IMO the best Mexican food from Agoura to Newbury Park. Ingredients are just great quality. Service always fantastic. I highly recommend this place. All the food pictures with two margaritas and tip about $150. Pricey? Not for what you get.

Los agaves has been my family and I’s favorite Mexican restaurant to visit for the past couple years now. We’ve ventured around the menu and everything we get is delicious! We love visiting the west lake village location as well as the Santa Barbara location on De la vina street. Both exceptional!
I’ve seen a couple reviews complaining as to why servers don’t come take our orders at the table. God forbid you have to order your own food at the register. I personally don’t mind at all. In addition I’ve always received great service when visiting. 10/10 I recommend to any one every chance I get!

This is probably our favorite place locally. And by the looks of the lines every time we go, it’s everyone else’s fave as well. The food is on point every time. The Molcajetes is so dang good. Nice selection of drinks. If I could make one recommendation it would be to have a spicier salsa option. But that’s a minor nit to pick. Super good food. Great service.

Good atmosphere for a group or a date. Not ideal for kids. I like the idea of ordering at the counter and then they bring the food & drinks to your table. No need to have a waitress wait on you. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Food was fresh and flavorful. The Chile Verde burrito was a little above average. The fish tacos and nachos were great.

Stopped by Los Agaves for dinner. We were able to get a nice high top table. Table #1. The hostess was so nice and calm considering how busy they were and the amount of people waiting outside. We both ordered the enchilada suizas. I had an iced tea and the wife just drank water. The margaritas look good but we gave up alcohol going on two months now. The chips and salsa assortment were good and the food hot and tasty.
Highly recommended.

What a wonderful dining experience at Los Agaves. Celeste was our amazing server and we started with drinks. My wife had the Don Julio Blanco with Topo Chico and three limes muddled with mint and I had a frozen Mango margarita. The chips and various salsas were tasty. My wife ordered the halibut taco entree and I had the enchiladas suizas. The service is top shelf and the ambiance positive and fun. This is a very popular local spot. Highly recommended

What a fantastic evening at Los Agaves. Carlos was our server and bartender and he was amazing. We started with margaritas and Carlos is a pro at making the best. My wife had a fish tacos and a chicken taco with rice and beans and I had the chicken fajitas. The food came out perfectly and was so tasty. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and time. The service is fantastic and the ambiance is positive and airy.
We enjoyed the dining experience and highly recommend this hidden gem.

What a wonderful lunch at Los Agaves. We sat at the bar area and were assisted by Favian (Diego J), and not only was he an amazing server but also a top-notch bartender. I had the Tampequena, and my wife had the chicken tostada. The meals were amazing, as were the tequilla cocktails. The ambiance was pleasant, and the food and service were stellar. Highly recommended.

Great little find. Amazing margaritas and menu selections. We started with margaritas and chips and then ordered entrees. I had the steak picado and my wife the chicken taco combo. Great food, service, people, and a positive vibe.

Bit of an attitude All in all. Not always but enough so that it seems too much like Westlake to be good Mexican.
Drinks are generous.
Happy hour is reasonable. Taco Tuesday is fun and a pretty good deal.
Regular food is kinda expensive Westale and a bit small in portions.

I came here with my family after a day at the beach and it was wonderful! When we walked up to the restaurant there was a line to see the hostess, (I took that as a sign this was a good place in the area) and they had free water outside with cucumbers in it. It was so refreshing, especially since we just came from the beach! Before we went up to order, we were brought a chips and flight of salsa which had three different salsas on it. (All were fantastic) I ordered the Carne Asada and my wife ordered the Ceviche and a Margarita. Everything was delicious! I highly recommend stopping by for some amazing food!

This place offers the atmosphere and quality of fine dining with the expedience and efficiency of a small diner. Amazing food and prices. We had the Tampiquena and 3 item combo, precluded by great house chips and salsa (3 kinds!), roasted salsa, verde salsa, and a mild. All great. The steak was cooked right and both meals came with a ton of it. The rice was soft and fluffy, not to mention delicious. Flour and corn tortillas are house made and incredible. The menu offered so many choices it was hard to decide, and our only disappointment is that we don’t live closer so we could come here more often. Looking around at everyone else’s meals quickly became a game of ‘should we get that?’. The staff was attentive and friendly, and even the manager came by to make sure we had what we needed. Soft drinks are self serve, and they do have a bar for adult needs. Excited to return to and try some other menu items.

This place is absolutely fabulous. The food is amazing, the service is impeccable and the atmosphere is divine. Jerry is a true asset to this establishment, his demeanor and joyful personality is so refreshing. Although I’m not local, my mom is and she will be back time and time again thanks to Jerry and the delicious food and drink. Thank you Los Agaves for a great dining experience.
