Ordered a chicken kebab plate with bread. Chicken kebab was cooked fresh with a 20 min wait time for the chicken. Wait time would have been fine if food was good. Rice was dead, no seasoning or flavor. Chicken slightly overcooked but very little flavor! The steak fries were a joke, just being sliced potatoes that were barely heated up and some pepper sparingly sprinkled over them. With how many great spots Lincoln has serving similar food, no reason to be disappointed here.

I stopped here looking for a quick meal on my way, however i was amazed by the taste and quality of the food, we ordered couple of stuff and everything ended up tasting great, i recommend the gyro plate which comes in a big quantity and cooked perfectly, would definitely come back frequently if i lived in the city, also very nice staff.

I had a great experience at Ali Baba Gyro. The gyro was excellent — flavorful, well-seasoned, and packed with fresh ingredients. You can really taste the care that goes into preparing the food, which is made to order and arrives fresh and hot.
The service was another standout. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was just right. It’s clear they take pride in both the food and the customer experience.
The only downside was the steak fries, which were a bit undercooked during my visit. With just a bit more time in the fryer, they would’ve matched the high quality of the rest of the meal.
Overall, I’d definitely recommend Ali Baba Gyro for a satisfying and freshly made Mediterranean bite. I’m looking forward to going back!

I want to preface this review by saying that I have eaten at Ali Bab’s for years without any prior issues. The food has always been good, which makes this experience especially disappointing.
My wife placed an online order directly through the restaurant’s website. Her card was charged, and we received an order number and pickup time, as we have many times before. The pickup time was 12:50 PM, and I arrived at approximately 1:00 PM.
When I informed the man at the counter that I was there to pick up an online order, he responded that there were no online orders. I contacted my wife to confirm, and she sent me screenshots of the order confirmation text and the charge to her card. I showed him multiple forms of proof, including the order details and payment confirmation.
Despite this, he told me I was “at the wrong place” and stated that he could not make the food without proof. When I explained that I had already provided several forms of proof, he said that it was “only proof for me, not for him,” and that he would need to call someone to verify the order. When I asked how long that would take, I was told “only a few minutes.” Another employee was present but did not engage in helping resolve the situation.
After waiting and receiving no resolution, I ultimately left without the food that had already been paid for.
This was a very frustrating and disappointing experience. While I have enjoyed this restaurant in the past, I will not be returning. There are many other places in Lincoln that offer quality gyros and Mediterranean food with better customer service.

I’ve been going here for years, at a lot of different times and days. Never really had much problems aside from today when I went at 12:30 AM. Spent $35 and waited 50 minutes watching people walk in and out with their orders for quite possibly the worst service I’ve ever had. I ordered steak fries and got regular fries that were unseasoned and soggy in general. And this is how the burger turned out. Drenched in sauce I don’t like and it’s like a toddler was wacking away at the vegetables. Tasted burnt too. I’d still recommend the place but this was just insanity.

My daughter told us to go here for great Gyros – she wasn’t kidding. Went in the evening – fast service – large portions – quiet atmosphere – small business but really worth the visit. We parked in the parking garage across the street (closer to P Street) – was in and ate in less than an hour so free garage parking. Totally worth the visit. Will go back

Do not come here and waste your money. Our experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. They overcharged us and messed up our order even though we called 20 minutes ahead. We drove all the way from Omaha to Lincoln just to receive burned food and an incorrect order. When they made the mistake, they didn’t even apologize or take responsibility. This felt intentional, especially considering their attitude toward us. They were laughing and smiling to themselves, repeatedly walking past us as if they were trying to get a reaction. This is not the first time they’ve treated us this way, which makes it even more frustrating. Ever since the original owner left and new management took over, the customer service has gone completely downhill. There is a serious lack of professionalism and basic customer service skills. The way customers are treated here is unacceptable. On top of that, drinks no longer come with the meal. We were charged $16 for only five drinks, which is honestly ridiculous. Under the previous owner, drinks were included with the meal, so this feels like another way they’re taking advantage of customers. Either this place needs to drastically improve its customer service, or it shouldn’t be in business at all. We will never be coming back.
