We had an awesome experience at The Washout in Folly Beach! From start to finish, everything hit the spot. The kids devoured their chicken strips, crispy, golden, and full of flavor, and the fries were perfectly seasoned. It’s always a win when the kids are happy, and they couldn’t stop talking about how good their meal was.
I ordered the lobster roll, and it was packed with fresh, tender lobster meat on a soft, buttery roll. Every bite was loaded with flavor. But the real showstopper of the night was the she crab soup. Creamy, rich, and hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. If you visit, you absolutely have to try it!
The whole vibe of The Washout is laid back and fun, with that perfect beach town energy. Great spot to catch a game, enjoy some local seafood, and soak up the atmosphere. The service was friendly, and even though they were busy, everything came out hot and fresh.
If you’re spending time around Folly Beach, this is a must visit. Excellent food, family friendly environment, and a great place to relax with a cold drink while watching sports. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

The waitress from Myrtle beach was great! She has the best energy. Drinks were okay, very watered down. Wings are amazing and the salad was sooooo fresh!! My lobster roll was pretty small for the price and no sauce. Great lobster though! The tables and chair outside are really cool and plus size friendly, lol.

This place had decent prices and the food was very tasty! The crab dip was a good start off for an appetizer and if you want something interesting try the fried macaroni appetizer. It was plenty to share with 4 people. I personally ate the snapper and it was delicious. My wife got the Caesar buffalo wrap with fried shrimp. I tried a few bites of this and it was very fresh and tasty as well!

I know it was a busy summer night but the service was not great. The waitress only checked on us twice. The flies were horrible and the food was okay at best. There are better restaurants in Folly Beach to visit.

Walked in on Saturday at 4 pm to watch the game, get some food and have some drinks. The place had died down from the days event. The hostess/waitress gave us our menus and silverware, and told us if we wanted any drinks we had to go to the outside/front bar to get them, which we did. We sat at the end of the long table in the back next to the TV on the wall with the staff entrance and camera in the upper corner. Must have been about shift change, because 3 waitresses were just standing in there, on their phones, laughing it up, as the hostess/waitress and another waitress that was interested in the basketball game kept joining them. We sit there and sit there, watching them walk by and walk by (repeat), talk with friends, get their end of shift drinks, on their phones, never once stopping and asking if we were ready to order and clearly able to see that we were trying to get their attention every time they walked by. Nothing. We even asked a woman who was pushing in chairs behind us if they were still serving food and she said she didn’t work there. Two hours we were ignored. We left. Extremely disappointed and disgusted in the blatant disregard this staff has towards their customers. This establishment does NOT even deserve a 1.

The atmosphere was great. Games and lots of decor to look at. Sitting outside was nice and they had plenty of fans and TVs.
Folks said parking is hard to find but they do have a lot right behind the games that had plenty of room.

This place is a whole Vibe!! From the food, the service, the live band everything was amazing. When I visit Charleston (Folly Beach) again, I’m definitely going to come back. Only minor issue was my margarita it literally tasted like the mix only I think they forgot the shot of liquor I mentioned it to my server but I didn’t want to make a big stink about it I just won’t order it again. Other than that I definitely recommend this spot!
