I have been going to the Felipe’s restaurant for quite a few years. I have never had a chance to go to this one at this location, and I will say they carried on the same tradition as the original Felipe’s, the food was very good. The proportions were extremely large, definitely for the money it was worth it. I had the Mexican combination one.
My son had the combination burrito his girlfriend Got the fajita. And chicken Deluxe. tostada. And the combination 1 came with 1 Tostada, 1 chicken, enchilada and 1 beef, taco, refried beans and rice.

Family and I were on a trip to my mom’s in northern Kansas. Decided witchita is where we would find something to eat. We saw a sign for a Diner, thought Kewl, variety whole family should be happy, turned in The lot, no Diner only a catering company, and a Mexican restaurant, I said Mexican it is. Got in the Restaurant, Hostess was awesome, Seated as soon as the family ran to the bathroom (remember trip). An older lady stopped got our drink order and asked if we like hot or mild salsa, I normally dont eat salsa, but I always try it, this was really good. Ordered queso, asked white or yellow, o man, white. Amazing!!!!!! I kept looking at the menu and watching food come out the kitchen, I couldn’t decide, told my Waiter, first time in, looks amazing I can’t decide what ya recommend, he asked me a few key questions. He did not disappoint, hell I dunno what the heck got ordered I just know it was amazing!!!! I normally only eat half of what is served, I ate every damn bite!!!!!!! He offered dessert suggested sopaphillas. Damn!!!! I’m telling you if your in witchita and looking for a good family owned place this is the spot!!!!So much so I plan to stop in on my way home from northern Kansas!!!!!!!!

Always a good go to for a good Mexican restaurant. I always get the same thing and im never disappointed. I get the Jumbo Burrito beef with chile verde on top. Wife ended up getting flautas which we big good portion of chicken at a good price! Great atmosphere and service!

I would classify this as more of a Tex-Mex style restaurant but having said that, I was pleasantly surprised by the flavors!
The salsa is served mild and hot but the hot is more of a mild-medium. Ask for the spicy one made with jalapeños. It was fantastic and you will not be disappointed!!
Hubby ordered the burritos and they are served with a very delightful queso sauce ontop. Beef and chicken – both were great.
I had the sopes and although the chile verde was quite flavorful, the masa was super hard around the edges which were too hard to even cut with the steak knife (really!) Once I removed the outter ring the rest of the cake was fine and had great flavor.
Our server was kind. There was no wait for a table which I did find unusual for a Friday night. I was not complaining at all though – speedy service is great when a restaurant isn’t slammed. lol
Overall, I’d give it a whirl again and maybe try something new next time.

My first time there. Owner greeted us at the door. Our waitress was one of the best I have had. The food was flavorful, hot and very good. When back in Wichita I will go again!

Their food does not disappoint. My husband is a snob when it comes to his burritos. He said that their smothered jumbo burrito was hands down his favorite dine in burrito, that’s saying a lot. Their hot salsa was delicious, and my picky eater finished all of her tostada plate. Prices are quite reasonable, the atmosphere is good. This location offers a weekday lunch punch card, where you get your 10th free. If you haven’t dined here, I would encourage you to, as it’s some tasty Mexican food.

Off to a rough start but the food was good except for the bell peppers being under cooked and the salsa was water runny. The meal came out in an average amount of time. On to the server, she did not listen properly. All in all 4 out of 5 I will give them another chance.

Service was great and the atmosphere was very comfortable. I was not rushed and the waitress was attentive the whole time. I have eaten here before and enjoyed the experience. I had the Jumbo Burrito this time with pork. The burrito looked good and was served hot. There were too many refried beans for my taste, which kind of made the burrito mushy. Other food the group had looked appetizing and the hamburger was huge! But don’t know how it tasted. He did not share. I would recommend Felipe’s as a casual dining restaurant. Restrooms were clean and stocked well.
