I’ve been eating here since they first opened. Authentic and fresh. Great little “hole-in-the-wall.” Highly recommend this place. Everything is good always! My wife usually gets the salmon plate with vegetable medley. I usually get the steak bowl with jalapeño cilantro hummus. But I’ve had the gyro & chicken schwarma, and they were fantastic.

Very disappointed. I have been to this location four times. My Initial experience Approximately 3 to 4 weeks ago was a good experience and the greek salad i ordered, the container was filled with salad and meat on top.
I then tried the Pita kitchen up north, ordered salad, container was full of salad with a good amount of meat on top. The salad I picked up tonight has a good amount of meat, but hardly any salad. I’m not sure why I’m now experiencing this with the Avondale location. The last salad I ordered from them last week was like this evening, but I wanted to give them another chance in case that was just due to it being towards the end of the night. Now I’m starting to wonder what the problem is is at the side of town. I know someone else who lives up north and they tell me every time they order from the Pita kitchen up north the service is great, atmosphere is great, and the food portion is wonderful for the price.

Had the chicken and beef kabob both were fire! The salad, rice, and tzatziki were excellent. The gentleman taking the order was very friendly and said if you don’t like it he will cook it himself for you. They make it fresh and its worth the wait.

I love this restaurant. The service is excellent. I love the food it’s so fresh and tastes awesome. They have small plates & large plates. They have kids meals as well. I usually get the Chicken Kabob plate. The taste is phenomenal. Thank you Pita Kitchen!!

My wife and I have tried almost everything on the menu, it’s all delicious!! The portions are big and cooked to perfection. The staff is friendly and will take care of anything you need. It’s a little way from our house, but the drive is definitely worth it. If you like Greek food, I absolutely recommend Pita Kitchen in Avondale.

I was hoping for a fantastic lunch and instead had to pick through lots of chicken skin to get some edible pieces for my schwarma lunch plate. At $14, I would have hoped for a slightly more than 2oz of edible chicken. Don’t bother getting the lunch special (only available if you order online), its not worth it.

When I got there, I was really hungry and asked whether the meat was halal. The staff answered it wasn’t, but they have salmon. I told them I wanted salmon with rice, and they made me a big bowl of salmon, rice, and salad. It was very delicious and yummy. I really loved it and finished the whole bowel. The staff member was so nice. Definitely coming again.

The service sucks now. A staff member who was taking my order was rushing me through and apparently had made a mistake. I did order a chicken shawarma and she brought me gyros. After I told her they made a mistake she insisted that I ordered gyros which is not possible. There was no way I might order gyros cause they make me sick. I understand it’s a mistake and it’s not a big deal and I would wait till they correct my order. But she kept acting very unprofessional, insisting it was my fault…, which could only mean that I’m a lier. Her behavior and the tone of voice was inappropriate, just apologize for a mistake a fix the order. It’s that simple.

Affordable price for a decent quality and size: Lentil soup was tasty, Lamb chops kabob was the best ! The steak shawarma (beef) was subpar, below my expectations. The service was fast and friendly. The place was spotless clean.

I had been here before, and left a 5 star review 2 or 3 months ago (you may see it below).
Since then the quality of the food (ordered the same, beef kabob) has gone down drastically. They add way too much eggs to the meat. And it was over-salted. I wonder if they “punished” me for not ordering a soda.

Very disappointed in this location today. I’ve been coming here for years and it’s usually great. However today after ordering we waited over an hour and never got food. The staff dropped off food to everyone else and once I noticed other customers that ordered after us got food before us I stood up and cancelled my order and left. Not once did someone come by and apologize for the wait. We only ordered two steak shawarma pitas I would’ve understood if it was a huge order but it wasn’t. Not sure if I’ll ever return.

Wow, so dissatisfied and disappointed, I always get the chicken and beef kabobs, but my beef wasn’t well done, it was still pink, totally grossed me out, they were super busy, SOUNDS LIKE THEY HAVE MEXICAN COOKS, MORE ABOUT SPEED THAN ACCURACY. I used to go all least once a week, now it’s been 5 months. Debating on eating their again.
