Great atmosphere,clean and beautifully decorated.Our server ( Trent) was amazing!! He was helpful with menu choices , recommendations on spice levels and very personable joking around with us .We will definitely be back!

Service wasn’t great, our waiter was not attentive at all. Even tho we had a reservation we sat for awhile before we were served, and that’s after I had to ask the hostess if we could get some water. Maybe short staffed idk, but for a first time customer I wasn’t impressed. Food presentation was fabulous but the flavors didn’t blow my mind, I’ve have had much better Thai food in KC. My pad Thai was very bland and dry, the chocolate rangoons were tasty with a warm chocolate dipping sauce.

ordered takeout, lo mein with extra vegetables in place of meat. the bok choy and broccoli that it comes with were fine. however there was a bunch of random vegetable scraps that were very visibly old. wasnt a huge deal until i saw a rotten and moldy piece of cauliflower. went back in and they tried to tell me it was from cooking. i know what cooked cauliflower looks like.

Would definitely come back here again! Made a last minute reservation and they got us in. We had excellent service by our waiter, the yellow curry and it was perfectly spiced and full of flavor. Sat upstairs and enjoyed looking over park place and overall great experience.

From the moment you walk into bamboo penny’s you are greeted by a fantastic atmosphere and several live plants. We had a reservation but decided to sit at the bar for faster service. We ordered a couple cocktails and I will say they were not fantastic. The food on the other hand was excellent. I got the basil fried rice and pad Thai with chicken. Both dishes were fresh, flavorful, and came out pretty quickly for being a Friday night. I will definitely come back for the food, but will pass on the cocktails next time.

I’ve been to 50+ restaurants in Kansas City and definitely would say this was a top pick. Mango duck, seafood medley stir fry, crispy pork belly and shrimp in a blanket. Stephan had exceptional service and was particularly sweet to my 4.5yo dinner date – definitely went beyond. Would recommend this place and return based on his attentive service alone. Exemplary example of how to get people coming back for sure.

Bamboo Penny’s never disappoints! The chicken Pad Thai and egg rolls are my absolute go-to—always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. The atmosphere is vibrant, patio seating is also available. Great food, great vibe, and a perfect location. Highly recommend!
