This pub is tucked away in downtown Lake Charles, but don’t let the location deter you. It’s a charming building with lots of decor to make you feel like you’re in an authentic pub. Our server was absolutely lovely and attentive. There’s plenty of space in the main dining room, with a smaller outdoor seating area near the entrance.
For our appetizer, we got the cheese curds. They were delicious and seasoned well. You can’t go wrong with fried cheese. We wanted to try the Bavarian pretzel as well but it was unfortunately sold out. Our waitress told us it’s very popular. For my main, I got fish and chips, something I’ve always wanted to try. The chips were very good and had a salty, slightly sweet seasoning on them. The onion rings were average. As for the fish, I’ll admit I was disappointed with the lack of seasoning. There wasn’t much flavor with the fried cod. The batter was nice though. Surprisingly light despite how thick it looked. I’ll definitely be back to try more things.

The food here was really good! The lamb, nasty Irishman burger, shepherds pie and buffalo chicken mac and cheese were all delicious! The shamrock drink was really good as well. Our server, Heidi, was awesome and really fun! We’ll definitely be back.

Great little pub in historic Lake Charles. Unique food menu, extensive cocktail menu. Great single malt scotch selection and 2-6p is half price drink happy hour. Posted menu is Sunday brunch menu which looks fantastic and the reason we went, but didn’t know it was only on Sunday, we went on sat. Will update the everyday menu in this post so others won’t be surprised as we were. I’ve labeled both the everyday menu and the Sunday only brunch menu.

I went tonight and was seated promptly. Our waitress Kailey, was one of the best I’ve ever had. The food and atmosphere was definitely good. She recommended dishes, was attentive and kind. However Kaileys fun personality made our night! Great job! Definitely will be back.

I always visit when I come in from St. Louis! Love this place and it’s even better because my entire family that I visit love it as well! It’s where we all gather when I come “home” to visit. You can take the girl out of Louisiana, but you can’t take the Louisiana out of the girl!

Unfortunately I arrived close to closing and Sunday is only a brunch menu. I ordered the French toast with bacon and black berries. Ok, but room for improvement like letting the bread soak up more of the egg/milk mixture and avoid charing the edges. Would return to try the regular menu if had more time in town.
