The only thing I would probably mention is that they probably need a couple more servers on the floor because the server that we had seemed overwhelmed & was not as attentive because it was a little busy, other than that it was a great visit. Would definitely come back for the food.
I ordered spicy Chicken Tacos and veg tacos, it was awesome, they add habanero chilli to it so be careful if you ask spicy.
Portions were great comes with some rice and beans salsa.
For drinks pineapple and mango mojito were delicious with a fresh pineapple garnish.
Service was attentive and friendly .They also serve fresh chips and salsa as you sit down on the house. The place was busy as the food is great and owner also checked on us .
Free parking
Will visit again and highly recomend it.
Regardless, there is some authentic flavor to the Mexican dishes, and I know Mexico deeply and widely, as I said.
Tex-Mex—any Tex-Mex food—is actually Mexican cuisine from northern Mexico, and mostly originated in the time when Texas was part of Mexico, so this is actually northern Mexican food (there are really too many cuisines in a vast country like Mexico: northern, Michoacán-Jalisco, Oaxacan, Pueblan, Yucatán, Veracruzan—all offer their own Mexican food. Mexican food is the most diverse and richest).
The dish selection is very good, but naturally limited, as Mexican cuisine is too diverse. You need to live at least a year in Mexico to truly understand why I am saying this. You can eat local food just in Mexico City for a whole year and not repeat a single dish of Mexican food.
Congratulations on your restaurant.
Just, I took a couple of stars the music is too loud and the conversation is difficult. Many restaurants are loud, something I struggle with. There could be a better selection of Mexican Musik.
My husband is more of a tex-mex fan, I’m basically the plus one. The chips and salsa comes complimentary, it was so easy to fill up on them… my bad.
Apps: Chile con Carne-my husband loved it! It was ok, I prefer a more “heat.”
Tacos Mexicanos-tasty but messy. The Tortillas fall apart.
Chilaquiles- not what I expected with all the melted cheese on it. It was ok. I’m glad I asked for steak to be added. Made it more flavorful. The steak was tender and seasoned well
We would probably return. My husband really liked this place. And I wouldn’t mind trying other things on the menu. The menu options are alot!
