Love El Paso on Sherwood, figured I would try out this Gonzales location. First off the good, stellar staff and customer service, very friendly, short wait times for food, and the restaurant was extremely clean. The bad is that the food was not quite as good as the Sherwood location, but still worth stopping in if you are in the Gonzalez area and craving mexican.

Nice place, well maintained, food was good. However, I thought for such a price surely it would either bedue to large portion size or high quality materials. Neither were true. It was overpriced for the product. This is more of a fast food quesadilla than a $30 meal.

Very quiet Sunday afternoon. Hardly any people, so felt a little awkward. The food was good minus the enchiladas (sauce tasted sweet) and the charror beans (tasted like a camp fire). Just our opinions, you may like that. Over all, it was okay

We just got back in town, and we were tired and worn out. Stopped in for a bite. The Mexican food was really good and the staff was extremely nice. We got home, and my wife kept talking about it.

Well, we ate here again, it was good but something is different. Nothing bad or good, just different. There is a sweet smell inside, smells sort of like a flower or something like that. We will be back, they are nice.

We stopped here on the way home and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the burrito asada while the wife ordered the the steak chimichanga.
The waiter was polite and professional, in no time our food was ready. I was surprised with the bean dip served along the usual salsa and chips but then recalled this is a signature of this chain.
The atmosphere was nice: brighter than many places. Lots of brightly painted walls and ceiling.
I did not remember to photograph the food till we had started eating: sorry ‘bout that.

Laken was my server/bartender, and she made my lunch very enjoyable. She was attentive, welcoming, and all around an awesome server and bartender. She was super friendly and easy to talk to!!

Laken went above & beyond to ensure that I enjoyed my lunch, and that everything was exactly the way I wanted it. She was very knowledgeable about the menu.

I got the ground meat taco salad with grilled onions and queso. It was to die for the bean dip was on point, too. I also added some of it to my salad.

If you go here, make sure to ask for Laken! She will make your visit well worth it.

Oh and as an added bonus, she was thoughtful enough to let me know about another location closer to where I live (although In all honesty I would probably go back to this location).

I got a large margarita, but my taco salad (& two queso dips) was under $15 after tax.

Food is pretty good there. Sometimes we get the chips and they’re either red dipped and fried and stale or they’re just right. Overall the great place to eat and hang out with friends and family. I would recommend it.

This was our first experience here as a family starting as entering into the restaurant the host communicated that there is certain people here and did a lot of name calling in Spanish little did they know that Spanish is my native language so I understood every word next we got to a table it was dirty filled with employees phones paperwork rice on the seats my husband ask for the table to be cleaned rather them do that they wanted to sit us at a different table where everything was filthy I just nicely asked the waitress to wipe down the original seat at the table we going to sit at from the beginning after we got out chips and dip that they serve everyone before ordering we ordered our food everyone food seemed fine but mine I order fajitas el pastor it appeared to taste well but it taste like perfume my husband tried it and could not stomach it at all after still trying to make the night decent because this was our child first time there and we went to celebrate a special day for our child we still decided to order our child the fried ice cream the dishes to but the ice cream in for everyone to share and the utensils were not cleaned as if someone just ate off them with the spoons having chocolate all over it the entire time we dined there was not check ups to see if we need anything no drink refills only the check when she seen the plates were towards the end of the table while watching a few of our neighbors being attended to several times after their food arrived after all me and my family experienced because I somewhat understand the restaurant business we still tipped but this was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had we will never eat there again nor recommend it to our worst enemies all the employees need to realize that the Spanish language it’s not a secret ( the picture that is posted is the only picture that was worth taking everything else looked like dog food)

Been going here for a few years, never had a problem, they’re pretty consistent and the drinks are amazing here. Service is really good, Management is always Professional and the food is always hot and fresh. If you’re in Gonzales I would say you definitely need to try them out. Especially on the Weekends, they have live bands playing
