I used to have a higher opinion of this place considering I have ate there weekly for a long time. After my recent pick up order, that has all changed. I’m weary of doing pick up at this place because usually my order is wrong on one or two things if I do online pick up.

I spent roughly 50 bucks on my order plus $10 tip upon picking up and when I got home found that 2/3 of my order had been incorrect. No biggie, I decide to actually call up to see if I can get this fixed, but instead the male on the phone argues with me about something I literally order weekly and have lost count of how many times I have eaten it.

As a professional in the customer service industry, I find it disgusting on the lack of accountability on the restaurant’s end and unnecessary hostility towards a regular patron.

I will not be returning to this location.

‼️‼️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️‼️‼️
Let me start by saying I had to be dragged by my step daughter because I not a fan of sushi. I now come here often. I love the Special Korean Bar-B-Q. IT IS DELICIOUS. Also make sure you get a piece of FRIED CHEESE CAKE!!!! Amazing. Thanks Sake Bomb Sushi. We’ll be back for sure.

Great hole in the wall in the Cincy area, super packed full of people, to go orders, and quite small so its as busy as a small place can get. Loved it.

Rolls were tasty and fresh. Service was as good as it can be when its busy.

Salmon Nigeria extremely fairly priced, rolls as well, spicy tuna roll is unbeatable at that price.

My main knock was the ramen was pretty bad. Seems like it wasnt cooked by someone who eats ramen. Mostly overcooked and then some noodles crunchy. Just weird. I know they were busy, but looked like they threw the noodles in and let it cook too long without stirring at all.

All the rolls and hibachi plates I saw looked awesome, I would come here again when in the area.

Restaurant Review: Sake Bomb Sushi

During a recent visit to Sake Bomb Sushi in Northern Kentucky, my 10-year-old son and I experienced a mix of excitement, great food, and a few service-related challenges. This was our first time at the restaurant, which I discovered through Google Maps. The glowing reviews and the promise of ramen piqued our interest, especially since ramen is one of my son’s favorite dishes.

Upon arriving, we were immediately struck by the traditional decor, which was inviting and created an authentic ambiance. The menus were well-designed, making it easy to browse the extensive options. However, as first-time visitors unfamiliar with the restaurant’s offerings, we found ourselves needing guidance to navigate the menu.

Unfortunately, this is where the experience faltered slightly. While our server was polite and attentive in terms of basic service, they struggled to provide the assistance we needed to understand the menu and make informed choices. Despite my mentioning multiple times that it was our first visit and that we had questions, the server could only read directly from the menu, offering little additional insight. While I understand that English was not their first language, I believe the restaurant could benefit from ensuring servers are trained to assist new customers effectively, especially those unfamiliar with the style of cuisine offered.

That said, the food was absolutely delicious and lived up to the high expectations set by the restaurant’s reputation. We ordered three sushi rolls, ramen, stir-fried noodles, and a beef dish, all of which were flavorful and well-prepared. Each dish demonstrated the quality and care that goes into the menu, and it’s clear why Sake Bomb Sushi has earned loyal patrons in the area.

For new customers, however, a little more attention to introducing the menu and dining style would go a long way. It seems the restaurant expects many of its visitors to be repeat customers who already know what they want, which can be a bit overwhelming for first-timers.

Overall Impression:
Despite the service hiccup, I give Sake Bomb Sushi five stars. The quality of the food, the atmosphere, and the overall experience were excellent, and I look forward to returning to try more of their menu. This is not a complaint but rather a suggestion for improvement: better menu guidance for newcomers would enhance the dining experience. I’m excited to explore more dishes on future visits!

This is the best Asian food I’ve ever had outside of New York or San Francisco. Definitely the best in Cincinnati!!! Tried several of the Korean dishes. EVERYTHING exceeded expectations! The portions are so generous we’ll be eating leftovers for a week.

Good service, great sushi. Love the atmosphere and the look of the restaurant. I am from Southern California, military family who are finally settling down in Ohio/Northern Kentucky area. Haven’t lived in Cali since 2011 and this is the first time I’ve eaten sushi somewhere that made me feel like I was home again. I was also pleasantly surprised by the portion, it was so much food. Usually I can eat 2 or 3 rolls, no problem. I had to take home half of it lol
It was so good! We WILL be back

The food was delicious! However, the styrofoam melted over the Korean Corndogs. I think the simple solution is putting another piece of foil on top before closing the lid.

I loved it here! Place was happenin’ the entire time we were there, probably saw 20 to-go orders leave while service continued to be prompt and superior for an impressively packed house. The decor is awesome with a mixture of East Asian wares and antiques with walls scattered with reviews from loyal customers. It’s understandable why the fan base is so loyal. Food was hot and delicious, with some delightful banter with the owner as he taught my friend to use chopsticks on M&Ms. There’s plenty of variety for the experienced food tourist and beginners to east Asian cuisine. Pictures included have the Sunday Morning roll, a Hot Stone Bowl Dish, A Beef Bulgogi Bento, Shrimp Tempura, and Korean Cheese and Potato corn dog:
