I ordered a passion fruit ice tea which tasted great. Appetizer was the artichoke jalapeño dip .
It was so delicious and filling. I had to take my fried chicken sandwich with fries home to eat the next day ( I forgot to take a picture). The chicken was soft, moist, and very flavorful.
I orderd some clam chowder soup to take to my mother. She truly enjoyed it.
I would definitely go back.
The notorious fig and Ginny on the block were both great. For sure will be back.
Lots of TV’s above the bar.
The place was packed and we knew exactly what we wanted to try since we could look at the menu online. The hostess did the MOSTEST to keep everyone in motion without anyone falling between the cracks. We waited about 10 minutes before being seated outside. The first table was closer to the parking lot and we decided it would be best to sit closer to the restaurant. They were very accommodating and swift with the adjustment.
I ordered a drink that is no longer on the menu, the Oaxaca winter, but the waitress knew what I was talking about, and was able to serve it up! It was Thai pepper ️ spicy, savory, and delicious. I did not expect to have such a fine cocktail in such an unsuspecting place!
I’m a Bay Area natives and finding a like this in San Leandro is definitely worth making multiple rounds too. We essentially did a sampler of several appetizers and it turns out they have a secret menu! If you are over 10 years old and want sliders, they will make you an adult plate, you just have to ask! We had it with the Parmesan garlic fries.
Them ribs though? Should’ve ordered half dozen to-GO. They were Hella good! We enjoyed the poutine and forgot to ask for schmoked brisket! Whelp, here’s an excuse to come back overall the food schmacks, the music slaps, and the Bay is well represented – catch me next time sporting carnitas duck tacos
