We had an amazing experience here. The service was welcoming, and we didn’t have to wait long to get to our table. The food was good. I wish they had fresh strawberries for the pancake, as most pancake places do. The coffees were great, especially the latte. We would highly recommend this spot, but be prepared to wait for a table, especially on weekends.

What a difference a few years will make. I felt like a just ate an overpriced Denny’s instead of the Sleepy Bee I know and love in Oakley. The bacon was overcooked and hard to eat, the “seasoned”potatoes were bland and had no sauce, the eggs were undercooked, and the bee cakes were lacking something I can’t describe. Although we arrived an hour before closing, the staff seemed done with serving and our waiter disappeared for the latter half of our meal. The other servers who took over didn’t bring syrup for the pancake or anything for the toast, and it was just a disorganized mess. At least the atmosphere was about the same, which fits the downtown deadness.

We were looking for a nice breakfast spot in downtown and settled on this place. The location is very centralized and we didn’t have any wait at 8:30am on a Saturday morning, though the place was filling up pretty quickly. The menu is a nice mix of standard breakfast items as well as some unique choices. I tried the breakfast burrito which was pretty good, but I thought the portion size was much too small considering the price. At the very least they could include a side of potatoes to make the meal more substantial. They do have a small kids menu that includes pancakes and a few other staples. Service was just alright and was a bit slow during our visit.

Service was friendly but the food was not too remarkable – things tasted relatively good but not really anything special. The portions were average or below for the price points. You couldn’t even see the avocado on the avocado toast with how little avocado there was and how easily it was covered with a fried egg. The servers are friendly which did help with the experience.

Had such a wonderful experience at Sleepy Bee Cafe! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt bright, welcoming, and full of positive energy.

The food was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with quality ingredients. You can really taste the difference. The menu has something for everyone, whether you’re looking for a hearty breakfast or a lighter, healthier option. Everything came out beautifully prepared and delicious.

The service was friendly and attentive, and the whole experience felt easy and enjoyable. Definitely a go-to brunch spot — can’t wait to come back! ✨

Amazing place! We walked into the Sleepy Bee in downtown Cincinnati and, after a short 15-minute wait, got our table.
Atmosphere was busy and vibrant, with perfect lighting, cozy, modern, and full of energy.
It’s truly the perfect spot for a Saturday late brunch.
Our server, Sophia, was wonderful, kind, informative, and full of joy.
The food was absolutely delicious, and I was thrilled to see so many gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian options on the menu.
Honestly, it’s a 10/10 experience. I’ll definitely be coming back probably a hundred times! Don’t miss this gem!

This restaurant deserves the title of “the BEST IN CINCINNATI”.

Chill and bright atmosphere. Always packed, very popular.

Pancakes were huge and fluffy . Even the gluten-free pancakes came out fluffy and very tasty. don’t forget the syrup and other sauce they added to the various pancakes. they were delicious to the core and ingredients are all sourced locally.

Avo toast were unique, came with so much healthier ingredients. Sandwiches stacked high and yummy. I was full on half of it. Definitely can be shared. We also like the puréed seasonal soup and all the coffee drinks.

Service was SUPER … down to earth attitude, knowledgeable of the items on menu, friendly and efficient.

Value: worth every penny. Reasonable for the quality of the ingredients you can get here.

First time coming to this place and will never return. It was slightly busy but waiters were just standing around talking to each other. We had to go up to a server to be put on the waitlist and they had told us it’s about a 10-15 minute wait, turned out to be 25-30. Finally got sat and the waitress that was her first day today was very polite and gave us water (she was doing amazing!), our actual waitress took our drink order and didn’t bring out the actual drinks til 10-15 minutes later. I’m assuming smoothies shouldn’t be room temp and melted, she took our food order the same time as drinks and they had been sitting in the window for quite a bit of time. The eggs weren’t hot anymore and had a rubbery texture to them, the potatoes were started to taste cold. Our waitress had only checked up on us once and felt like she was ignoring our table while talking to her coworkers more. Payed a total of 44 dollars just to enjoy warm smoothies and rubbery eggs, Atleast the place was pretty and aesthetic. Our waitresses name was Alejandra R.

One of my favorite places to go since I started eating out regularly. Extremely relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, kind and more than accommodating staff, and above all a great menu. If you prefer straight forward and delicious food without needing to overthink your choice, you’ll appreciate the one and a half page menu where every option I’ve tried has been delicious. Great breakfast spot especially!

Good food for a nice brunch after a night at the Beer Fest. Solid options. Only gripe was that my coffee was lukewarm and teetering on cold when it was poured by our server and it was pretty loud inside. Fair prices and the goetta was great!
