Dok Khao Thai Eatery is easily one of my favorite Thai restaurants in Northern Virginia. The food options are absolutely amazing, the service is exceptional, and the decor is absolutely beautiful during their seasonal offerings. Though these are from the Christmas holiday, I am really looking forward to enjoying their Cherry Blossom themed menu again this year (also captured below). Here are my current menu favorites:

I stopped by for lunch today with my friend and husband. My friend suggested this restaurant and it was an excellent choice. Pat was our waitress and she was great. I ordered a lemon drop martini and it was delicious. For lunch I had drunken noodles with chicken, my husband ordered chicken pad Thai, and my friend ordered curry chicken. Everything was delicious. The flavor was good and the spice level was just right.

It was a busy lunch rush on Valentine’s Day and they accommodated us with our stroller/carseat. The wait wasn’t long, they communicated clearly and sat us in a booth. The food was absolutely delicious and we cannot WAIT to work our way through the menu. 10/10!

We came as a group of 4 and tried a variety (the roti chicken massaman, flank steak pad Thai, crab meat fried rice, and the crispy pork). The fried rice, pork, and massaman were truly the best we have had ever. Portions are a bit on the smaller side BUT worth the price! We did sharing plates and did end up ordering an extra order of the crispy roti which had us all devouring the food! Our waitress was so attentive and kept checking in. 100% recommend. The pad Thai was the only surprising part since most Thai places that is my favorite but the other food was sooo good that the pad Thai seemed so normal and didn’t stand out.

I’ve been wanting to try this restaurant for some time and finally went for lunch today. The restaurant is so adorable inside and seating is comfortable. When we looked at the menu, the first thing we noticed was the amazing drinks and desserts. They looked incredible. I ordered one of the specials, the soft shelled crab special. It was amazing, the flavors were so delicious. I had a passion fruit tea with it❤️. My husband had the hangover pad thai which he asked for Thai hot. He said it could have been hotter but he still thought it was very good and he still had a residual spice burn when he was done with lunch. We started with Larb Gai because my husband loves it. It was delicious and light. While we did not order alcoholic beverages, the bar drinks looked amazing. I would come back just for the cocktails and desserts.

Stop what you’re doing and head over to this place! The food is absolutely delicious, the service was beyond exceptional, and the atmosphere is so cool! We were a group of four adults and 4 kids under 5, celebrating a birthday. They came and gave a fireworks candle and a big Happy Birthday sign, in beautiful bright colors and played the Happy Birthday song! So friendly, kind, and patient. I live 2hr from this place but when I’m in the area I visit multiple times in one trip. My favorite items are the lychee duck curry and the crab fried rice. The only dish I didn’t like was the spring rolls that had dry chicken but everything else was amazingly seasoned and delicious. The coconut cake is very light and not too sweet. The wonderland and tropical tease are my favorite cocktails. Kids menu was simple and they even offered waffles. What kid doesn’t like waffles. My child likes the chicken satay from the appetizers because it’s just the right portion for her. They do not take reservations because of how busy they get around dinner. My advice is to ensure your whole party is present and you all go before the dinner rush to get a table. I spent two birthdays here and they bring out the sign and sparklers. The place is magnificently decorated. If you wish to take photos and selfies, go during lunch time Monday-Thursday when it’s not so busy. The daylight also hits the establishment and it’s decor nicely around that time.

I ate here twice. I had some kind of pineapple fried rice that was amazing. Someone told me to try crab fried rice, so when I do, it will be from here. I went in for happy hour one night and grabbed a few items to try ( curry puffs & jacketed shrimp). Everything had here was pretty good, i just took off for service during night happy hour. The people were cleaning to close up, and not a lot of attention to bar.

I had a working lunch with a business associate. We enjoyed our food and beverages. The presentation as beautiful but more importantly the food was DELICIOUS! We tasted each others food and it was good. I definitely recommend this place. I come here with my daughters a few times a year. It’s our mother/daughter spot!
