It had a wonderful day trip there. Set outside underneath the sun and had the most basic of meals. Which was fish and chips, but it was actually really good. Now. I will say this. The parking lot is very small, one way in one way out. And it is very congested, and that is probably my only complaint about the experience. You’ve got a fresh sushi market.A fresh chippini that you can get there.Local foods great hospitality.Great service.I would highly recommend it

A little disappointed. Second time at the restaurant. First time it was wonderful. Today is seemed less flavorful. Halibut fish taco was good. The halibut fish and chips were dry.

Quality seafood, with a varied seafood market to cook at home. Well prepared meals to eat there, or to go. The staff is accommodating and pleasant. Dining indoors is not my cup of tea; but the kids at the next table made a sport of lobster-tank-watching. The outdoor patio is also dog friendly.

What a great place for seafood lovers. Fish is fresh and cooked perfectly. We had the Calamari Sandwich and the fish tacos. The sandwich was perfect and made me want to come back for another one. Tacos were large with generous portions of fish. We had one fried and one grilled. Both excellent. Counter service is casual and friendly. Outdoor seating. Highly recommend a stop here.

Nice little place, great food. We had fish and chips and the ahi tacos. Fish was tender on the inside, crispy on the outside, and not too greasy. The ahi tuna tacos were absolutely killer! A little expensive for lunch, but the portions are super generous and the food was great.

Literally the best fish and chips in all of SLO county and has been for years! Although it’s in North County/Paso this team does a killer job on this plate and my wife and her family consistently rave about the fish tacos. Her family always makes an effort to stop here on their way into SLO when they visit us.

Prices are fair for the quality, portions are extremely generous in our experience, spot is clean, and the outdoor seating/beer list deserves a shout out. Love that they carry local craft beers on draft at very fair prices.

Also a seafood market, parking can be difficult as it shares a lot with Trader Joe’s. Nonetheless, worth the visit every time! Fish and Chips are seriously to die for compared to the rest of this county (Morro Bay and Five Cities included). Hope this continues to be a staple locally for years to come!

If you like fish, this is the place! Very tasty. Visited in the middle of the afternoon, in early December, rather quiet and nice. It’s kinda weird that even though they serve beer and wine they don’t have a restroom, which I thought was required. Oh well, you have been warned. Thankfully there is a Trader Joe’s across the parking lot. Not cheap, but worth it. Fish and chips are recommended along with a $6 beer! Enjoy!

We went here for my wife’s 88th Birthday. This is her favorite place in the area. They were very accommodating to our larger group for the space, and the Staff was very kind.

I had the shrimp and chips. It was great, and the live crabs in the tank were a hit with the kiddos.

Shrimp nachos are amazing, and very large. Fish and chips are very good but they give you almost no tartar sauce. The shellfish that they serve tastes like mud but their fish is always of good quality; take care though, they don’t remove pinbones.

The morale of the story… read your own reviews before making the same mistake.

It is kind of amazing that over years, my impression of their Salmon Soup with odds and ends….AKA Cioppino, has not changed all that much.

Here is my newer impression….

“Pier 46 Seafood looked nice but the soup had way too much Salmon in it, thus it did not play well with my intestines. If I am going to have Cioppino, I like a nice diverse hefty assortment of all sorts of seafood, not mostly just fish.

While there was the odd tiny shrimp, some tiny Scallops, and a few clams or mussels, it was more like an afterthought. The broth is tasty, but is monotone Tomato, without much complexity. I thought that it could use a more zesty tone…maybe a squeeze of lemon…. I understand that they want to keep costs down, but not at the expense of flavor, texture, and diversity. Yes, I know that diversity sort of has a bad name, but when it comes to seafood, it is a good concept.

Since I was in the area, I shopped at TJs and wanted to eat. Pier 46 I guess is a decent choice for some in the area, but I really prefer Morro Bay. I may eat here again, but instead get a fried Combo plate with fries.

Pier 46 is in Templeton, CA…. left on Vineyard exit, just off the 101.

If one has a craving for seafood on the long stretch from North to South county, this is a decent choice…but I would keep it simple.

I was here before some years back, and I did like the fried seafood Combo, and the fresh Oysters.

This time I stayed inside and the service was fine. They are polite when taking an order at the counter, and they later bring you the nice hot metal dish of Fish Soup…and I also had a plate of minced shrimp on a Tostada…which was OK.

Ambiance is basic, and is the same as its seafood market. I kind of fell for the soup again since someone else was eating it, and it looked good.

Again, it is mostly all fatty Salmon…so if you love tons of Salmon then it may be fine for you.
