The entire meal revolved around the Hot Sake, which was crucial—the staff was attentive and ensured it was served perfectly heated to hot, not merely warm, unlocking its full savory potential for pairing.
The Perfect Progression for a Connoisseur:
* Starter (The Cleanse): We began with the crunchy, salty burst of the Masago Gunkan Maki (Smelt Roe), which beautifully set the palate for the hot sake.
* The Savory Core: The Sushi Boat Sampler with the Spicy Tuna Roll was an excellent choice; the heat and creamy richness of the roll were expertly sliced through by the warm sake. A break with the fresh Maguro Sashimi was a perfect interlude.
* The Ultimate Pairing: The Unagi Nigiri (Freshwater Eel) was the undisputed highlight. While initially served cold, the staff quickly corrected it. Served properly warm, the Unagi’s rich, sweet glaze and tender texture were, quite frankly, “the bomb.” This pairing of rich eel and hot sake is a classic for a reason!
* The Grand Finale: We concluded with the Tokyo Crunch Roll and another small sake. This was pure indulgence—the hot sake performed its final, essential job, cutting through the deep-fried calamari and tempura and leaving every crispy bite satisfyingly fresh.

The service here is consistently excellent. I love the burst of aroma from the teppanyaki as you walk in–it instantly sets the tone for an enjoyable dining experience.
The sizzling sounds and rising smoke from the grill top combined with the clatter of the utensils create a warm and inviting atmosphere as the chefs cook in front of you.
The bacon fried rice soaked in the bacon was flavorful and the new York strip paired with their two sauces were cooked perfectly.
Beef Sashimi with their slightly sweet tangy soy based sauce is a must have. Tender, medium rare and smoky taste.
The spider roll was proportionate and tasteful.

We love coming here to celebrate a special occasion, so we came to celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary. I enjoyed the raspberry lemon drop, and the food was delicious! We ordered the filet mignon and scallops combo plate with bacon fried rice. We had a great conversation with our fellow table mates! The service was a bit off, but it was a busy Saturday night so I’ll be understanding about that. I highly recommend this place, enjoy!

Great place. Little strong on the garlic powered which is fine except on the chicken gave a powder/chalky taste on some pieces. Bacon fried rice is okay. Idk if I would get bacon in it next time. Cook was awesome. Waitress kept disappearing. Had to flag another one down to get my water refilled multiple times. Spicy sauce delicious

Loved this place! The flavors were insane. I loved that their fried rice naturally comes with bacon and that they give everyone a couple shrimps. I got the chicken and steak and everything was just seasoned so well and huge portions! I had to take more than half home. They could’ve done some kind of a show while cooking like they sometimes at Hibachi places but overall great service and great vibes.

I really like this place. It’s a good size and very clean. For a Tuesday night, it was pretty busy, but I was still able to find an open seat for myself. The group that I met was welcoming. All the staff were very friendly, helpful, and patient. All the food and drinks came out great. The fried rice was the best. I thought the margarita was small, but the strength of the alcohol made up for it. There were good-sized portions for the food, so you’ll probably take some home. I’ll definitely be coming back.

A great experience overall. I had colleagues in from Brazil who wanted to go somewhere unique. They had a 10/10 experience. We really enjoyed watching the food being cooked in front of us and the chef was fun/entertaining. The food was amazing and the portions were massive.

I placed a to go order and a young lady by the name of MIA took my order she input the wrong item and when I got home and realized I had the wrong item I called Tokyo steakhouse. When I called MIA answered the phone and she was completely unprofessional and rude. She rushed me off the phone and told me I should have checked my order before leaving that is policy. She also said I can talk to her manager. She would not just admit she made a mistake on my order. It was so weird. The manager did get on the phone and he tried to play it neutral “but said his employee did nothing wrong” and he made me feel like I never want to return to this restaurant. He reinstated what MIA said, and I should’ve checked my order, but I feel like he could have told her to always be professional in this business, but he did not. I was calm and just wanted to let them know that my order was incorrect. I have been coming to this restaurant since the day they opened and I will not be back. I feel like certain people are just not appreciated nor their hard earned money. BUYER BEWARE!!! This is my comment to everyone before you leave Tokyo steakhouse in Natomas Sacramento check your order thoroughly before you leave because if you get the wrong order And MIA takes that order, she will take no accountability that she made a mistake nor will their managers. BTW, I ordered spicy chicken and she inputs spicy wings. Her fault.

Been a fan of this place for years. I get that everyday cant be a show, but I was very underwhelmed at the quiet cook. Soup and salad was to salty to enjoy. Major points lost on well done steak that I asked to be cooked medium. All 3 of us asked for medium/medium well, we all received well done. Yes we could have mentioned it while there, but we waited a good while for a cook and was too tired to ask for what we wanted.
