This is a good Indian Restaurant. The food had good flavor and the service was satisfactory. The Butter Chicken had a lot of sauce but not a lot of chicken, the lamb chops were a little well done (I asked for medium) but had good flavor. The Bullet Naan bread was delicious.

We stopped in a whim and really enjoyed our meal. The food here is more of a northern Indian style and we love the lamb chops, shrimp biryani , and chicken korma. I also thought the lacha paratha was really well done! The interior is really well-lit and clean with high ceilings, creating a lighter atmosphere with great modern Indian music. Highly recommend this place.

Great restaurant in the Laurelhurst neighborhood. This was our first time here. The food was exceptional. The wine selection is poor. But the food made up for that. Excellent Garlic Naan. The service was very friendly and helpful with the menu.

Nick stopped by the table. – Thanks Nick!!

I had the Butter Chicken…. I totally recommend it!!

Great JOB!

Let me tell you, folks, my recent lunch experience here was about as thrilling as watching paint dry. Despite the restaurant being sparsely ovcupied, the staff refused to seat me at a prime table because apparently, they were reserved for a ghostly party of four.

Service was so sluggish, I almost considered filing a missing person’s report for our waiter. To add insult to injury, the samosas were as thick and chewy as a hockey puck, and definitely not worth the $7.50.

Feeling hopeful, I ordered the chicken Karahi and chicken Rogan Josh, praying for a flavor explosion. Sadly, they were as bland as a cardboard sandwich. Generous portions, though, so I guess quantity over quality was their motto.

When finished it took them 20 minutes to notice that.

On the bright side, the decor was charming, and the background music was on point, creating a much-needed distraction from the subpar food. Overall, I’d begrudgingly give this experience a generous 3 stars, mostly for the ambiance and perhaps a bit of pity.

Not a place I can recommend, unfortunately.

We have visited twice most recently on Christmas Day as we have a stay with our son at Seattle Children’s Hospital and it has been great both times. We really enjoyed the chicken biryani and chicken lollipops. Great service and highly recommended!!

We had such a wonderful experience here! The food was incredibly fresh, and every dish was full of vibrant, delicious spices and flavors that felt both authentic and beautifully balanced. You can really taste the care that goes into the cooking.

What made the evening even more special was the exceptional service. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and well taken care of. The staff was attentive, warm, and thoughtful without ever feeling intrusive.

If you’re looking for outstanding Indian cuisine paired with hospitality that makes you feel at home, this place is a gem. We’ll definitely be back!

The food here is delicious. I usually order takeout every few months. However, when I went in person yesterday (Nov 19, 2025), I noticed the Food Safety rating posted on the door leading to the parking lot. The restaurant’s rating is ‘Okay,’ which is the second-lowest rating (below ‘Excellent’ and ‘Good’). According to the rating system, this means the restaurant has had ‘several unsafe food handling practices in recent inspections.’ I’ll wait for them to improve this rating before returning, despite how delicious the food is.
I’ll also update my review accordingly.

I had such a wonderful experience at Maharaja Cuisine of India! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a balance of comfort and cultural charm. The staff was attentive and friendly, making sure we felt welcome throughout the meal.

The food was absolutely delicious—every dish was full of rich flavor and perfectly spiced. The chicken tikka masala was creamy and satisfying, while the butter chicken had the perfect balance of sweetness and spice. Their vegetarian dishes like saag paneer and aloo gobi were equally impressive, showing great care and authenticity. Of course, the fresh garlic naan was the perfect complement to everything—we couldn’t stop ordering more!

Portions were generous, and the quality was consistent across every dish we tried. Whether dining in or ordering takeout, the experience feels reliable and worthwhile.

Overall, Maharaja Cuisine of India is a fantastic spot for anyone craving authentic Indian food—whether you’re a longtime fan or trying it for the first time. Highly recommended!

The food was really good, we had the special dinner which was a great spread and everything in it was fantastic. The servers were all very helpful and the atmosphere was excellent. I really enjoyed that on a bustling Friday night we could sit down and chat at dinner and be able to hear each other easily.

I’m looking forward to visiting again, maybe even biking here in the summer!

Very clean!!! Very delicious food and very nice staffs. It was my first time yesterday and I really loved that I went there. Their seatings are really comfortable . Food was really great and I felt the sweet lassi that we ordered was a little watery but anyway it was good. Definitely going back there again. They even serve the dishes in an authentic way and even the drinks in copper glass, so traditional, loved it!!!!!
