Everything was perfect! I got the BBQ plate. The BBQ had a perfect smoke flavor a lot of other places miss in their eastern NC BBQ. The potatoes were flavorful and tender. Their corn sticks were amazing too, nice crispy outside crunch with a moist fluffy inside. Definitely adding this place as a favorite food stop whenever I’m near Greenville. Cash only!

Cash only. The line waiting to order tells you B’s has a loyal following. The wait was only 15-20 minutes for a line that was about 13 people deep. The unassuming building and seasoned smoke shack adjacent are quintessential of Eastern NC BBQ joints. The menu is short and inexpensive (BBQ sandwich, BBQ plate, Smoked chicken, and a few sides to choose from). I recommend a couple of sandwiches with slaw. My buddy ordered the BBQ plate with two sides. He said the sides were “ok, nothing spectacular, and the corn bread sticks were amazingly hard. The slaw was perfect – not too sweet, not too tangy. Had B’s been our only stop on our BBQ adventure, we would’ve been satisfied, it was a good experience, but there are other BBQ joints nearby with better Que. If I just wanted a good BBQ sandwich, B’s could be my go-to spot.

I’ve heard about how good the food is at this place is for years, I finally had the chance to stop for lunch. The BBQ sandwich was amazing and being the last customer served for the day has its perks! If you haven’t been don’t wait any longer you won’t regret it.

I wanted some true whole hog bbq and this B’s was that place. The flavor was so good smoked just right. The bonus was the smoked chicken flavor was outstanding. I can’t wait until I’m in the area again. I’ll definitely buy extra like suggested by a customer in line with me.

I’m from Lexington NC – BBQ capital but I do love some vinegar BBQ and this is the best! Chicken was excellent, juicy with crispy skin and the BBQ was out of this world. Cash only and seating is a few picnic tables out front but SO worth it!

barbecue plate. Corn sticks in canned green beans. Barbecue with drive with no flavor. The service was good, it was quick and friendly. The cost of the meal was bad because of the quality. They no longer have a dining room so there is really no atmosphere except standing in the parking lot talking to strangers. So talking to people I had to understanding that the kids are running the business now and I would say they don’t care about the quality just the money, because the hospital is going to buy the property so they just don’t really care I guess. After the overall experience I will never be eating there again. So my advice to you would be if you want some good barbecue go to the skylight inn in Ayden.

28 years since last visit. BBQ was as delicious as I remembered. No indoor seating so forced to eat in vehicle as a shower popped up. Selection of sides limited as I was after 12 arriving. Still in my all time Top 5 NC BBQ Places

The only way to experience the truest Eastern North Carolina bbq is to bring your cash here. You’ll understand once you take the first bite. For me, knowing and appreciating the people who keep the flavors and traditions alive here reminding you that no shortcuts are taken really does add value to the craft. Now come get in line!!

Bs BBQ was a bucket list Barbecue destination that did not disappoint. Went down on a Saturday morning from Raleigh and got in line early. I got the barbecue and slaw which were amazing but I was told the real hidden gem is the chicken and I have to say it was some of the best chicken I’ve ever had in my life. The way in line can be lengthy, but it is 100% worth the wait. We brought chairs and ate off the tailgate but there are picnic tables on site. There is no indoor seating but it was a beautiful day so we didn’t mind. Definitely eat here if you have the chance! It’s worth the drive. It’s worth the wait and it’s worth every penny!

My husband and I traveled from central Virginia down to Greenville NC just to try B’s BBQ. We were not disappointed. My husband is a BBQ afficionado, and he was seriously impressed. We got there around 9:30 on a Friday. They were out of ribs, so we got the pulled pork. Definitely recommend trying B’s out!
