So incredibly delicious, we ate here twice in two days! We have been here several times in the past, so it has been on our “to do” list each time we go to the beach. However, this time, we went and tried the burger that so many people have told us we should try, and sat at the bar instead of a table or outside.
Every other time, we have stuck with seafood dishes. However, when we sat at the bar and watched the magic of the chefs on the grill, we were amazed and intrigued to try a few of their other mouth watering creations. While sitting at the bar on Saturday, Sierra (fabulous and personable bartender) made a little extra time to explain some of their other dishes; like deep fried ribs (fresh smoked prior to being deep fried) and different ways to order the burgers. On Sunday we sat at the bar again (my husband wanted to watch the magic on the grill AGAIN) and met the new owners, Kenny and Jeanette. Both were super nice and Kenny took the time to discuss other dining choices and the various seasonings. Since my hubby had been dreaming of the surf & turf since the day before, he ordered that and I ordered the Mahi Etouffee. Even though we knew we would not be able to eat it all, we added a pound of peel and eat royal red shrimp and even got a few of the Mojo (Mo-Ho) wings. Needless to say, we had a few to go boxes…. but ZERO regrets.
I can not say enough about how fabulous each dish was and the melody of flavors. We did take pix, since a picture is “worth a thousand words”. To sum it up, we used to consider two of the other restaurants on this stretch of beach to be our favorites and we would go to each of them at least one time each trip. Not anymore! Since this trip and tasting the variety of mouth watering delicacies available all in one place….. Wahoo’s just knocked the other places off the map as far as we are concerned.

Get there early because it fills up fast. We waited around 40 min, but it was totally worth it! We had the Shrimp Bisque and the Royal Reds as appetizers. My husband ate the Yellow Edged Grouper, and I had the Mahi Mahi Etouffee. Absolutely fantastic. Service efficient even with as busy as they were. Lots of room for dining with a small kitchen. Will come back!!

Fabulous food!!! Between all of us we had grouper, scallops, shrimp, crab legs, and apps. Their food is soooo good!!! They also have a very nice small patio that’s right in front of the water. Our food was superb and came out hot. Our server was very busy but made sure to stay attentive to our table. This may be a small place but, make sure you don’t pass it up. Parking is tight but I’m sure you can park on the street if need be.

If you’re looking for the BEST seafood in St Petersburg look. no. further. All their seafood is caught fresh locally and it tastes amazing. Ray our server was the absolute best and made us feel right at home despite this being our first visit. 10/10 we will definitely be returning.

This restaurant was absolutely delicious. Freshest seafood I have had on the gulf. Had the grouper, tuna, and tile fish. Everything was cooked perfectly and extremely fresh. The house made potato salad and coleslaw was also very good. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to get out of the tourist area for a great meal.

We were recommended by locals to come here, and it does not disappoint. Stacey was our server, and she was absolutely the best. So friendly and informative. Seafood chowder was great! Mahi Mahi fingers were cooked to perfection. Blackened fish tacos were also great. The chef cooked everything perfect. Every employee came up to us to check in things. I would recommend this spot to everyone.

Great hole in the wall. We arrived by boat. The dock is very small. The food was really good. Pictures are what was left of peel & Eat shrimp, fried oysters and scallops. We had a problem getting a salad but in the end it all worked out.

As always the best of the best for fresh catch, grouper or anything you decide to eat. We always order from the chalk board. Nice outdoor seating and we enjoy watching John cooking at the grill using his cast iron. It doesn’t get any better than Wahoo’s.

Small hole in the wall, blink and you’ll miss it. View is outstanding. Food very good, beer is cold. Highly recommend the smoked fish spread and royal reds.
Update…back again and was just as good as previous. Today had black and blue shrimp tacos, husband a Buffalo burger. Another good outing.

My sister and I are staying at the beach, and this place was highly recommended by the locals we ran into. We decided to try a little of everything and share it all. We started with the grouper cheeks, then ordered grilled sea scallops, snow crabs, and fried oysters. Louis was our server, and she was so nice, had great recommendations of things to try. She was excellent!
