Every time I visit Tucson, I HAVE to go here. The cocktails are always perfect, the ramen and appetizers are amazing, and the atmosphere is great! I especially recommend their ramen, and I always make sure to get the bird bun. Cannot recommend this place enough!!

Amazing food! Uni is so fresh and everything is so delicately made. The ramen is fantastic and so is the chicken katsu. Definitely get the chicken karage too. It’s so crunchy and flavorful. I love the cocktails too. Very fancy and well presented. Service is just on the slow side so prepare to dine for at least 1.5 hours.

Thank you for the amazing costumer service. We ordered 2 ramen for pick up and they were made incorrectly and one had an item in it that we asked to not be in it due to an allergy. When I called back, I spoke to the manager Anthony and not only did he make things right but he was very polite about it and made us feel like we couldn’t even be upset or mad at the situation lol. Amazing customer service and resolution.

Husband and I made a reservation for a Friday evening dinner date without the baby, a day before Valentine’s Day. We walked in to a busy restaurant, first good sign. Hostess greeted us warmly, second good sign. We informed her we had a reservation for two and she took us right over to our table. No wait and we were a few minutes early. Our server greeted us quickly and was very attentive. The menu items are a bit pricey but the food is totally worth the price. The sushi was fresh, the fried rice was amazing, and the gyoza’s steamed were a good call. Every interaction we had with staff was pleasant. Atmosphere was nice and relaxed. Food came out quick, which is good! They definitely pay attention to detail. We never felt rushed once during the night, and we enjoyed our night out, kid free. We think we found a new dinner spot and we will most definitely be back.

A friend had tickets to see ExTC (original XTC’s drummer’s “cover” band) at 191 Toole and wanted to grab a bite before the show. Not wanting to dine too far from the venue, I suggested Obon, Basqueria, or Urban Pita. My buddy picked Obon. He had dined here before; first time for me. A sedate atmosphere, quite welcome when coming in from Tucson’s summer heat. The food is good, service was fine. Very clean, with a contemporary hip vibe. Worthy of return visits when downtown.

Was not very busy at 6pm the ambiance is great, we were greeted right away and taken to our table. The whole process of ordering seemed very rushed and when questions were asked the knowledge of traditional names were lacking such as “Chashu” for the pork belly, or asking if it’s a shoyu broth and being met with “what?” for over $20 a bowl I think it’d be above common to have the knowledge accompanying the price tag. One of our bowls came out incorrectly it only had shoulder and no pork belly, the server fixed it quickly and had a great attitude even apologized for the mixup. The draft beer selection is on point and the Kung-Fu Pandan cocktail is next level good! Also, being able to choose how the gyoza is cooked is such a great thing. (Pan Seared always) thank you for good vibes , delicious food + drinks!

Tonight was our first time here after a friends recommendation. So happy with the food and service. Staff was very kind. And the food was delicious. Definitely recommend the pork gyoza, pork belly boa, the original and tonkotsu ramen!

Obon is a clean and happening environment. We went for our anniversary dinner. Nothing offered for our anniversary though or acknowledged. Not a big deal to us but we always at least get a small dessert. Lots of people in the restaurant and waiting outside. They offered low table, high table, sushi bar seating, and outdoor seating.
The hostess was very friendly and inviting. Our waitress was also friendly, knowledgeable, and responsive. The sushi was pretty good for Tucson. A little pricey but pretty good. The cocktail’s were great. We’ll probably be back again.

My boyfriend and I were visiting from Surprise… we were SUPER excited to try it out since we LOOOOVVVVVEEEEED the Phoenix location but this one fell so flat. The gyoza was the best part. We ordered both Tonkatsu ramen and the original. The noodles were over cooked, mushy and held no flavor.. we were in a rush to get to a show the day we went that we just stomached it but both ended up sick and dissatisfied with it. We barely ate the ramen, I didn’t drink any of my drink and we barely saw our server… it was just such a bummer to enjoy one so much and look forward to this one on our trip and it just let us down.

The food was delicious! We did have a long wait for our meal, but the staff made up for it by bringing us complimentary miso soup while we waited, which was greatly appreciated. I did need to ask for chopsticks and a napkin, and the staff were very apologetic and quick to help. They also kindly removed the charge for our drink refills. Overall, great food and thoughtful customer service despite the wait.
