Weve been going here for 2years now and the food is really good. The place is nice to go with ur friends or even family. Their service is good as well. We always go back for their food. They also have their own photo booth outside. Love this place.

My husband and I visited Soosanghan Kotdaeji some time ago and had such a blast that we decided to try this spot, the presumed sister restaurant.

Our TLDR take: Yikes, what a bust.

‘Pocha’ is short for a Korean outdoor tent bar, and you can see that as soon as you approach. There’s a heated outdoor space that closely resembles a Koraen pojangmacha, complete with metal tables, low slung chairs, and lots of soju advertisements. We sat in the indoor space, which was attractively dark with fun bar vibes.

For all the ambiance, the food was disappointing. I love a good seafood pancake. When well-prepared, it’s fried hard in a pan, making for a crispy exterior with tender bits of seafood on the inside. Here, an unfavorably fishy smell accompanied its arrival to our table, making me wonder about the freshness of this seafood. It was surprisingly gummy and mochi-like in texture, making me think it must’ve been prepared with a sticky rice flour instead of regular flour. At a whopping $25, this felt like a poor menu choice.

Our spicy pork entree – the jeyyuk bokkeum – was another disaster. While the taste was spot on (and surprisingly spicy!), it’s tough to call this a meat dish. Though it comes in a large platter, the serving was almost laughably bereft of actual meat, consisting mostly of filler cabbage, cooked kimchi, and onions. Trying to find any meat in the pile felt like a futile treasure hunt, and at $27, a truly questionable value.

Food compunctions aside, service was great. Food came in a timely manner and our water jug was refilled promptly as needed (much needed to calm the spice alarms from the pork).

Ordered the thick pork belly and the jjapaghetti(?) noodles (without pork) and both plates were delicious!! Apologies for the crappy images – there was steam from the pork belly. This dish was SO flavorful and the greens were amazing. The noodles were nicely flavored and perfectly cooked. Vibes were a 10/10 here – came on karaoke night (unplanned) and we had a beautiful dinner. Will return for sure!

I went to this pocha today and was honestly very disappointed. The half & half jokbal (pig trotters) was extremely nasty, very strong, gamey pork smell and basically inedible. The popcorn chicken was also bad, with a strange smell that reminded me of sweaty feet. The only dish that was somewhat acceptable was the army stew, but even that was just okay. Overall, the food quality was far below expectations. won’t be coming back.

After being introduced to this place by my friend Ji. I have been returning any chance I get. Basically ate with almost every member of my family here. I do wish they brought back their soju pitcher drinks. But I really enjoyed being able to eat certain foods and they dont disappoint. The spicy level and portions are big, so you can share. Love their spicy pig feet. Most Americans have not tried it here abd they dont know what they are missing. I love it that the booth ls are private. The music is not overly loud and you can have a nice 3 hour lunch or dinner. They dont rush you out like other places. So for me its a great place, and its child friendly. 🙂

This is a fantastic spot for enjoying authentic Korean food in a lively bar setting. Their Korean cold noodles are refreshing and flavorful, perfect for a light yet satisfying meal. The seafood pancake is crispy on the outside and packed with fresh seafood, making it an excellent dish to share. Their fried chicken is crispy, juicy, and pairs perfectly with an ice-cold beer. With a great selection of drinks and a vibrant atmosphere, it’s the perfect place to unwind with friends while indulging in delicious Korean comfort food. Highly recommended!

The fried chicken here is really good. Good atmosphere. Good customer service and great drinks. A bit pricier on the side for the food. Go with what people typically order and you will not go wrong.

Update – been back just to try Korean Fried Chicken with some beer. Very good

It was our first time here and everything was amazing. The service was great, the servers were so accommodating and attentive. The roasted pigfeet had the smell of charcoal and we got the mild spicy flavor which was just right. We would definitely come again!

Great Korean restaurant with warm, winter vibe.
The spicy Fishcake skewer is the one of the best fishcakes I had. It is a little spicy but it is perfect for winter.
The charcoal roasted pig feet is quite special, with a smoky smell, which is different from other pig feet you can find at Fortlee. The rice ball is a plus.
The oak wood grilled chicken is crispy outside and tender inside, with a smell of grilled chicken from childhood. The inside is not as flavorful as outside so you might need some sauce.
Waiters are all pretty attentive. Will definitely come back again.
