The food here at Cato Esquivel is a marvelous feat and grand experience every time we dine. The quality is better than home made and absolutely exquisite and made with extreme detail and attention. This restaurant is one of Miami’s best Seafood restaurant and should be considered a must try by all, tourists and locals. The staff of Eugenia and the rest of the staff were extremely attentive and makes you feel like you are special guests at every visit! Even after COVID, this restaurant has maintained its shining star quality and dining here is always an absolute delicacy. Absolute compliments to the Chef for such greatly presented and tasting food like no other. 10 out of 5 STARS!!!!

My husband and I have been to Cayo Esquivel several times and always have left very satisfied. The food is excellent! And there is a great variety of seafood. The service was very nice. Talaima, our server, was outstanding. She was very helpful and very attentive to us.

We celebrated my mother’s birthday last night, and the service and warm feeling that the staff displays is truly priceless. Feels like family . Our waitress was amazing. She handled a large party with ease. She was always smiling and patient with all of us . Party of 15 ( with kids) . Will be back again .

We’ve been wanting to check this place out for quite some time, so we finally planned a date night. I could go into a lot of details, but I’ll keep it brief. We paid $48 for two appetizers that were less than mediocre. The fried calamari was the worst I’ve had. It was salty, rubbery, and the fact that it didn’t even come with a lemon on the side is shocking. The octopus was highly recommended by our waiter. It was unfortunately barely better than the calamari. We decided to scrap the date and go elsewhere because of how bad the appetizers were. The only great part was the artwork on the walls. Those were a vibe and we really enjoyed the funny details.

Service was ok, we ordered 2 Fish croquetas 2 Frituras de Bacalao and a Fish Dip for appetizer. We share filete de Corvina in White Sauce it was delicious.
For dessert we got a Flan de Coco also very good.
the only reason why I give 4 stars is because the Frituras de Bacalao and the fish dip wasn’t that good.
But overall i planing of going back to tey something else.
