Had a delightful brunch at Walker Bros in Highland Park! The blueberry pancakes were really good, but the apple pancake was absolutely amazing and was my favorite of the two. Super sweet and delicious, with perfectly caramelized apples that made every bite heavenly.
The restaurant has beautiful stained glass windows that really add to the atmosphere and charm of the place. They’re definitely worth admiring while you wait for your food.
A couple things to note: it does get quite loud inside, so don’t expect a quiet meal. Also, if you’re planning to come after 9am, be prepared for a wait, this place is popular for good reason!

The best breakfast place in the Chicagoland area, and, dare I say, anywhere. Been going here since I was a kid and it is consistently good. Their pancakes are delicious – so buttery and with chocolate chips, addictive. Omelets are tasty and enormous (see picture). Service is just ok, but the food comes out quick and is so good that service taking somewhat of a backseat is no issue at all. Prices are reasonable, particularly given the large portions you receive. Overall, a must stop. Living in or visiting the Chicago area is not complete without eating a stack of pancakes from Walker Bros.

This is one of the best Breakfast Restaurants we’ve ever been to as a family. Everyone was extremely satisfied with what they ordered. We also all shared everything so everyone could taste everything. We would definitely road trip to Illinois just for this restaurant. The staff is extremely kind and very attentive. There’s a great atmosphere. The stain glass windows are beautiful and surround you in beauty as you wait for your food. This an absolute must try when in the area.

Came here off of a whim, we just got our marriage license and wanted to find a place to grab a bite on our way home. Picked this place as it had 4.6 Stars, and we can see why.
The cappuccinos were delicious (they are classic, so no added sweeteners). Added 2 spoons of sugar and they were perfect. As seen, no matter how many times we take a drink. It still keeps its foam head.
My lady got the continental. She enjoyed it. I got the eggs Benedict and I can’t see Hollandaise sauce the same again. As no hollandaise tasted as velvety as this one. The pancakes, which we both got with our meal, were as fluffy as a pillow, and as full of air as Aerogel. Great transporters of syrup.
All though my portions could be considered small for my Benedict by most American restaurant standards. It made up for it in taste.
Would come here again!

Today visited your Walker Bros. location and would like to share my experience, as I believe it presents opportunities for improvement in guest service standards.
Initial Greeting: Upon arrival, the hostess placed menus at our table without any greeting or acknowledgment. While I thanked her, she did not respond or welcome us, which set a disappointing tone for our visit.
Positive Note: I want to recognize that our server, Angel, provided excellent customer service throughout our meal. His attentiveness and professionalism were appreciated.
-Unfortunately, during our visit, the kitchen environment was disruptive to the dining experience. Raised voices, including inappropriate language, were clearly audible from the dining area. Additionally, I observed the same hostess chewing gum while on the floor, standing idle with other staff members, and engaging in loud conversations with content that seemed unprofessional for a family dining environment.
– As someone who was hoping to work while enjoying breakfast with my son, the overall atmosphere made it difficult to focus and detracted significantly from what we had hoped would be a pleasant morning Breakfast
– Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this location and will not be returning. I believe addressing these service and operational standards would greatly benefit future guests.

Walker Bros OPH is an all-time fav of mine, but I hadn’t been to this location before. It’s architecturally beautiful and well-run operationally. The food was excellent (I had the savory chipotle chicken crepe with potato pancakes slathered in sour cream and applesauce) and the coffee is as-always fresh and topped up.

Everyone that know me well know how hard it is to impress me bc I like things done perfectly.
Everything came out within mins of me ordering (I came on a weekday)
No complaints! The hash browns were the best I ever had. Crunchy on the outside but soft in the middle but not too soft which I loved. The onions in them every made them more delicious.
The cheese was all melted and warm on top. You can totally use good quality cheese.
The eggs were perfectly scrambled and came out, warm as well.
Pancakes just melts in your mouth! I want the recipe because I know I’m going to crave them every morning now.
The parking is a little hard to find even on a weekday.

Had a nice midweek breakfast with my wife at Walker Brothers! The omelets and pancakes a excellent! It was a nice pleasant and quiet environment. It wasn’t packed for a Wednesday but enough people that you didn’t feel crowded since then seated everyone apart from others. The food was excellent! I wish the server was a little friendlier!! Overall would return.

I love this place! I come here every time I’m craving a good traditional breakfast made with fresh ingredients. I usually get carry out from here, and it’s still so good even by the time I get home. Highly recommend if you’re craving some breakfast with a comfy atmosphere.
