There’s a popular saying that hole-in-the-wall restaurants often serve the best food. Now, I’m not suggesting that this place is a hole in the wall—far from it, and I’d never want to disrespect their establishment—but it is located in a gas station.
Don’t let that fool you, though: El Taco Jalisco serves some of the best burritos I’ve ever had. The restaurant is impressively clean, and the staff are incredibly kind and accommodating. I also appreciate the thoughtful furniture and vibrant artwork, which add charm and personality to the space. El Taco Jalisco has quickly become one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Buford, Georgia—and it’s absolutely worth a visit.

The food hit the spot for us. It was quick & clean. The place was busy. They do a lot of take outs & many locals come here. Their rice & beans were fantastic. Everything on the plate balanced very well together. Would definitely come back!! We also got honeydew aqua Fresca everything came to a total of $26. Really worth it!

I can’t bring myself to give this place five stars only because of the location (in a gas station) and because it’s not kept well. Meaning, the seats are old and torn, and it looks run down. However, having said all that, this is probably one of the best original true Mexican food I have ever had! You can tell this is the real deal, home cooked, super fresh, and very importantly, VERY well priced. The place is almost always packed, for good reason! I HIGHLY recommend it if you want to eat the true wonderful Mexican food.

Never before have I stopped to eat food, then go back in for more but today I did. The food here is delicious. It reminds me of my mom’s food. It’s so good. My husband and I ordered a torta and burrito then two more so we can try more all 4 were delicious. If I didn’t live hours away I would come every day.

AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD! Finally found something worth it in the area. Family of 5 all loved it. Staff was nice and prices were decent considering the area. Limited options but nonetheless everything was delicious. Kids can’t wait to come back. Food came out quickly and area was clean.

The wifey and I came here for lunch todayas I’ve been studying the area for an authentic Mexican taco stand and we’ve found a gem here. Always a good sign when there’s quite a bit of the native folks at this busy restaurant located behind the Chevron gas station. Please don’t judge the book by it cover! And the service is quick, efficient and friendly. No habla Espanol but all good yo!!!!
