Been wanting to try this place since they opened to see if the burrito salad was anything close to the old Paul’s. And the answer is….. ABSOLUTELY NOT! I got two soggy burritos covered in chili, lettuce and Parmesan cheese. (I asked for no tomato) The chili doesn’t even have flavor. Wasn’t horrible, just nowhere close to being the same and it definitely needed some nacho cheese.

Went to Paul’s all the time “back in the day”. I may have expected to much anyway I wanted to love it more than Quickies but so sorry just not what I expected. The young ladies were very nice and they all “had a job”. Please fry the fries longer, barely even had color. Good luck to you. I realize the prices of everything has gone up, but you might lower your price a little. Again I hope you thrive in this new journey!

I was soooo soooo sooooo ExCiTeD for Paul’s to be back! Everything was great until I saw the onion rings! $40 for 1 sided burnt onion rings- ‍♀️ I haven’t even got to the burger or mushrooms yet, hopefully I have better luck!
No excuses- it wasn’t even busy.

I crave old car hop diner style food. This has that vib. I used to eat here weekly but haven’t been back in years because I moved. I was passing through town so I stopped in for my old faithful dbl cheeseburger basket. I enjoyed it for sure but it seemed like they were smaller patties. I used to be more filled up after eating. Also seemed a little high priced. I will come back again someday.

Update 10/1525. I have been back few times and they have been faster, nice and good is delicious. It taste the same as before they closed down, which is amazing to me!

I went twice, the first time, they told me the wait was 20 minutes. I waited 1 hour and 45 minutes. I went to ask where was I in line, and she told me, I had 11 people still in front of me. I asked for a refund and left. The 2nd time, I asked ppl waiting in line how much they were waiting, was told over an hour. So I just left. I’m giving it a few more months before I go again.

A 1 cause a zero isn’t an option. I left after 1.5 hours with a refund. The girl (Melissa ) taking the order was extremely rude. I only waited about 10 minutes to the counter but when I did they did a ticket hold to get caught up on orders. There were maybe 10 people waiting for food 10 in line at the time. During the ticket hold the kitchen couldn’t get the order correct and the girl at the counter (Melissa) was not coming back to take the order. The kitchen staff attempted to get her to return. A kitchen woman started taking my order and Melissa came up to register with a big attitude. Sighing and rolling her eyes cause she had to ring up 4 orders! 1 hr later there were still 6 people’s orders ahead of mine. I got a
refund and left.
I wanted to love this place! It is NOT the original Paul you remember. This is a sad attempt to bring back to Armourdale a once good place. I won’t be returning it’s way too expensive for what you get.

Tried to call in an order no answer, then just busy signal after the 3rd try. Stopped by only 1 customer sitting. 2 women 1 man working. Went in to order got looked at a couple of times and then ignored. So I left thinking that dude is waiting and no one’s cooking. They are all chatting and ignoring customers and customer calls. I’m gonna say you should pay better, your prices are high and service doesn’t exist. Shouldn’t have bothered with the reopen.

So glad to have this back. Is it perfect? No, but then what is. I love the rings, the burgers are what I remember, and the italian steak is excellent. Between them, Fritz’s, and Eaton’s this were my go tos in the 80’s. Is it more expensive than back the 80’s? Yes, but so is Fritz’s and everything else. If you want cheap, McD’s will do yah (but even that is way more $$$ than it used to be). What it has is a taste of old home, and that is *priceless*. Show them some grace as the shoes they are trying to fill are enormous. The lines are sometimes a bit long, but that means they hopefully are making enough to keep the concern going for the foreseeable future.

I showed up at 3:40pm on Saturday, their posted hours are until 8pm. They have a handwritten note closed at 4 no more orders. The gentleman that arrived at the same time as me and I were told no orders! Not “I’m sorry” or “we had an emergency” just no orders. The cars that showed up after me, the heavy set cashier in the red tshirt locked the door on them, again without an apology or explanation. I drive 40mins to try this place to be treated like garbage. I 100% support small businesses but they don’t deserve my support.
