We were going out to dinner after being snowed in for the last several days. The first restaurant we went to said they were closing at 6:30 PM so we kept driving. I decided let’s try On The Border, it’s been many years since we have been there!
Our server, David made our experience very enjoyable with fast refills on chips and drinks and engagement about the app and the rewards and just making general small talk. He was a great server!
The food was delicious, and the serving sizes were huge! I highly recommend recommending Gran Papi combo!
I also love apps with rewards, so I signed up in the app and received a discount on queso and a free gift with sign up. Overall, we had a great experience!

The guys and I were looking for some good quick food, and we found it. Amber at the bar kept my lemonade full, and the guys drinks coming. The carne asada was good. Hot and came out fast. And yes, they offered black beans, which is a big deal to me.

Went for dinner 4/29/22 and service was outstanding. Got a order of Smokey queso for an appetizer and it was awesome. We ordered the 3 barria taco combo with consume and it was outstanding! Was very surprised with how good it was. My partner got a big burrito combo and a strawberry margarita that was very good. Our waitress was super sweet and timely! She refilled our chips three times without us having to ask and checked on us a lot. Was a very good experience for it being dinner rush!

Finally a place to eat with amazing service and awesome Mexican food. Our waitress name was Chloe and she was absolutely phenomenal. Ask for Chloe, you won’t be sorry. I had a Shrimp Border Bowl, my wife had a Steak, and Granddaughter had Barria Taco. All us could not believe how great the food was, plenty of shrimp and steak in both bowls. Granddaughter says the taco was the best she’s ever had, keep up the good work. A HUGE THANKS AGAIN TO OUR WATTRESS CHLOE.

Wonderful lunch and yummy watermelon margarita we had the Birria tacos with beans and rice…we got a free queso cheese dip for signing up for the rewards.. lovely atmosphere, our waitress was attentive and punctual… totally recommend it! If you love Tex-Mex food, you’ll love this restaurant

This place has amazing spanish food. I have been here a year now in Arkansas and this is the only place that reminds me of some good old mexican food from L.A. The waitress was very nice and helpful since it was our first time going there. Food had rich flavor and the price was reasonable.

Went for lunch with my son. We usually get the cold shoulder anywhere we go because it’s usually just us two, and people assume we will not tip well. So I was not surprised by the same treatment here. Surprise! If you treat us with respect, and you service us just like any other patron, I tip 50-100% of the bill because we don’t usually have a high bill. That being said, I felt a bit rushed to order. When we did receive our order, I simply asked for a spoon for my son to eat because the waiter only gave us one set of utensils (a knife and a fork). Well, we never got said spoon. When I tried waving him down two tables over, he walked off. He didn’t show back up our entire meal. I waited a while…He didn’t ask if everything was good. Which, honestly wasn’t because the beans were not cooked thoroughly and were crunchy, just like the rice my son wouldn’t eat beacuse it was crunchy. They should be translucent in the middle, not white. But you, waiter will never know. Yes, I did leave a tip because I work in the service industry and know how hard it can be, but please know that you have to show more respect to those individuals you underestimate. On a final note, we will not be returning because I am currently sick to my stomach from lunch, and my son has also been feeling ill from lunch.

Food is already cooked and heated in microwave or something close to that. Food has no flavor and was loop warm. You can eat the food but, not Mexican. Not tex mex. That’s probably why there wasn’t one Hispanic person working there or eating there.
Poor service. This must have been the girl’s first time as a waitress. Would not recommend this restaurant if you want true Mexican or Tex Mex food. I’ve never been to a Mexican restaurant and had yellow squash on my plate. Mostly yellow squash on the fajita plate. Cheaper than peppers I’m sure. $54 bad dining experience. Yes. Under cooked black beans and rice. No bueno
