A nice place to grab a bite with a beautiful view of the lake!
We came here after visiting Julian, where every restaurant had at least an hour-long wait, so we decided to drive here instead. They told us the wait for a table would be about 20 minutes, but unfortunately, it took 40 minutes. If they had told us that from the start, we could’ve taken a walk by the lake instead of just standing around waiting.
The service itself was quick once we were seated. We ordered a burger, fish & chips, and ice cream. The food was delicious, and enjoying it with the sunset view over the lake made the experience even better. However, they forgot about our ice cream and just brought the check instead.
I’d love to give this place 5 stars — the food, location, and scenery are all wonderful — but small service issues like this make it hard to do so.

This local eatery is recently under new management. See the attached pictures. We arrived at 16:45 on a Wednesday for early dinner. There was a party of 8 at one table and 2 servers. Most of the tables had chairs stacked on them sending a clear message that the crew wanted to go home. Official closing time is 19:00. This was very off-putting.
The food and service was very good. After our meal, I wanted to go out on the lake view porch to watch sunset lighting changes, but the door was locked. Another clear message. The server unlocked it as I snapped a couple of shots.
This is a management issue. The employees were trying to be efficient not recognizing the message.
If we return and are greeted the same way, I think I will walk out and go to one of the good eateries in nearby Julian.

I had an absolutely amazing time here at the cabin! It was beautiful inside, comfortable beds, very nice sheets and blankets. The decor was cute. I loved everything about my birthday weekend getaway! With the Lakeview cabin, we got a free boat rental for both days! Unfortunately the first day was very foggy and cold, so we didn’t utilize the boat, but the second day was absolutely gorgeous out! So it was perfect.

Everyone who works here was wonderful! Very knowledgeable and friendly. Very well staffed and I will definitely be coming back!
One of my best birthday celebrations yet!! ♥

Best service in Julian, food is flavorful, beer variety is plenty and delicious , prices are totally reasonable, good crowd.
My only complaint is the birds on the patio, super aggressive. Other than that it was relaxing, fun, fast and yummy!! The view is cool!

Came here during the pandemic. Sat outside on the patio with a beautiful view. The tables are set up properly with distance. Ordered a chicken pot pie and a reuben sandwich. Chicken pot pie was amazing! Craving for dessert? I highly recommend mountain berry pie! Minus one star because there was a lady at the next table coughing her lungs out without her mask on. She didn’t even bother to cover her cough. The server saw it and we even complained but he didn’t do anything about it.

Nice place to stop for lunch on way to desert. Nickel brewing owns this place so beer selections great. Wife had turkey and said cheese was excellent. I had shrimp and fries. Just ok. Great views at table of lake.

Nostalgic atmosphere and awesome outdoor seating overlooking the lake. Pecan pie was delicious. Chicken pot pie hearty and homemade. The fish and chips are not worth the price point, mediocre over cooked batter.

The view was very nice ! We sat outside on the back patio while we ate . The prices are a bit high but your in the mountains so be prepared to spend more than your budget . For a breakfast burger and home fries was $20.00 coffee was extra . Wine and mimosas is $7.00 a glass bottle was $16.00 bloody Marie’s $9.00 so bring money with you thats for sure . For some people these prices won’t effect the pocket book but for those of us that live on a budget it’s a little spendy. But all in all it’s a nice place in mountains to relax and soak up the scenery the staff is very pleasant so stop in and enjoy .
