All you can eat lunch, outstanding value. Sushi is made to order, very fresh. Spicy crab was my favorite, hubby said the Philadelphia was his. Tempura is made fresh w various sauces. The hibachi dish very good, nicely sized for lunch. We choose all three flavors of the ice cream. The Green tea was our favorite.

Dan was our waiter, speedy, efficient and very knowledgeable and personable.

This is a great find for some great food!

It’s a beautiful atmosphere, big beautiful and clean.

Looks great for a romantic meal. Birthday or any occasion.

2nd visit. Not disappointed. Very delicious. Ventured out and got the chef special sweet potato roll and the spicy ️ ️ Shrimp , salmon fried roll pictured. Fantastic we repeated both rolls. Service is very good. Beautiful place. For $20 all you can eat sushi and hibachi honestly can’t beat it.

It’s our go to now in Des Moines for sushi on a budget.

The sushi was fresh, no discoloration, no slime. The california roll was amazing, the avocado wasn’t mushy, it was flavorful and the crab ragoon didn’t have too much filling! Fast and easy service. Food was to our table in no time, soups were hot, sushi was cold, as it should be! Empty dishes were picked up quickly, we were checked on, and asked about refills. Our server was able to help us when needed and had a smile the whole time! The atmosphere was perfect, tables are spaced out perfect so you’re not in other peoples conversations. It’s quiet and very clean as soon as you come through the door! Overall amazing experience and will be back!

A coworker recommended this sushi place, so I decided to give it a try — and it did not disappoint. The restaurant is clean, modern, and welcoming. They offer a great variety of rolls, sushi, tempura, fried rice, and even curry. This spot is a must-visit. It quickly became my favorite restaurant in Clive.

Not bad. Huge selection. Not fantastic taste so really just riding on the uniqueness and variety. Service is a hit and miss as far as friendliness. I’m not really sure how the atmosphere fits. Would go better with some kind of astronaut night club but whatever. They give you a free cocktail for writing a review so here I am.

Definitely a popular place and we were seated pretty quickly. Tried some new dishes and was pleasantly surprised. Sushi was good, the hibachi steak and shrimp was the best, but you need to pace yourself with the am you can eat portions. Will definitely be back!

We recently had the pleasure of dining at Izumi and we decided to get the all you can eat option and we were not disappointed. It’s confusing at first trying to decide what to eat first. So many options. The sushi rolls were amazingly good and prepared quickly and with a nice presentation. I have no complaints about my experience here and I totally will be back to try more of the sushi rolls. Great food and great service in a upscale setting. Loved it.

This place positions itself as a premium, high-end sushi restaurant, but unfortunately the experience did not match that image at all.

The biggest disappointment was the fish quality. The “tuna sashimi” was clearly not real sashimi-grade tuna. The texture was rough, watery, and clearly frozen multiple times. The cuts were wrong too — instead of proper sashimi slices, it was served as uneven small cubes and scraps, which is simply unacceptable for sashimi. I can honestly buy better quality frozen fish at a regular grocery store.

The salmon was also very low grade, definitely not something you would expect from a restaurant that claims to be premium.

Signature rolls from the chef were poorly balanced in flavor. Some were overly sweet, others had an unpleasant oily, creamy texture, with no harmony between ingredients. Very heavy and messy in taste. Classic rolls like Philadelphia were okay, nothing special, but at least edible.

All appetizers with fish or squid were deep-fried. That’s fine in general, but the problem is that you can barely taste the seafood itself — only the batter and oil. Again, it feels like the cheapest possible ingredients are being used.

Overall, the food was not inedible, but absolutely not enjoyable. The taste did not impress me at all. What bothers me the most is that this place charges premium prices while using very low-quality fish that is not even suitable for proper sushi, let alone sashimi.

Only because the interior and presentation try to look nice.

I will not return, even if prices were cut in half. The problem is not the price — it’s the quality of the ingredients and the lack of balance in their food.
