Dan was our waiter, speedy, efficient and very knowledgeable and personable.
This is a great find for some great food!
It’s a beautiful atmosphere, big beautiful and clean.
Looks great for a romantic meal. Birthday or any occasion.
2nd visit. Not disappointed. Very delicious. Ventured out and got the chef special sweet potato roll and the spicy ️ ️ Shrimp , salmon fried roll pictured. Fantastic we repeated both rolls. Service is very good. Beautiful place. For $20 all you can eat sushi and hibachi honestly can’t beat it.
It’s our go to now in Des Moines for sushi on a budget.
The biggest disappointment was the fish quality. The “tuna sashimi” was clearly not real sashimi-grade tuna. The texture was rough, watery, and clearly frozen multiple times. The cuts were wrong too — instead of proper sashimi slices, it was served as uneven small cubes and scraps, which is simply unacceptable for sashimi. I can honestly buy better quality frozen fish at a regular grocery store.
The salmon was also very low grade, definitely not something you would expect from a restaurant that claims to be premium.
Signature rolls from the chef were poorly balanced in flavor. Some were overly sweet, others had an unpleasant oily, creamy texture, with no harmony between ingredients. Very heavy and messy in taste. Classic rolls like Philadelphia were okay, nothing special, but at least edible.
All appetizers with fish or squid were deep-fried. That’s fine in general, but the problem is that you can barely taste the seafood itself — only the batter and oil. Again, it feels like the cheapest possible ingredients are being used.
Overall, the food was not inedible, but absolutely not enjoyable. The taste did not impress me at all. What bothers me the most is that this place charges premium prices while using very low-quality fish that is not even suitable for proper sushi, let alone sashimi.

Only because the interior and presentation try to look nice.
I will not return, even if prices were cut in half. The problem is not the price — it’s the quality of the ingredients and the lack of balance in their food.
